PCW Phase Five: Red Renegades
The first show following the inaugural pay per view was jam-packed. What looked like only a handful of seats hadn't been filled and a few people were still filtering into the arena. There was a large amount of chatter, signs being arranged, one person still touching theirs up with a sharpy, a few fans dressed in costumes of different wrestlers in the company and people taking their seats with food and beverages.
Almost all activity stopped as soon as the first notes of The Phoenix hit and the lights went nearly black. The ramp was illuminated in red. As soon as the first chorus hit, Louden Noxious dressed in his black suit with his hair spiked high and wild ran out and posed with his arms out, orange and yellow lights rising from where he stood up the ramp. He walked the first few paces then ran all the way up to ring, bouncing up onto the apron. He walked around one part of the ring from the outside then ducked under the second rope and ran around the perimeter of the ring, clapping in time with the music to amp up the crowd.
When the volume of the music died down, he raised the mic to his lips.
Welcome Back to the UIC Pavillion here in Old Chicago Town!
PCW is back home after our successful first Pay-Per-View, Arise, this past weekend just down the road in Rosemont.
Thank you all for making our first big show a great one.
He waved a hand dismissively.
But enough of that. Tonight we've got another exciting lineup for you. I'll tell you all about it. Just not right now.
What I Will tell you is we're kicking things off strong with a match set for one fall between our very own Sparkling Diamond, Tessa Blanchard and Ms. Shaul Guerrero!
Let's hear it, people!
The fans cheers filled the arena without hesitation and Louden vacated the ring, going to his now normal perch at the edge of the commentary table.
Tessa Blanchard vs Shaul Guerrero

Shaul Guerrero's confidence exuded through her every step as she walked with down the ramp, her hips moving with her, her charisma and flair coming into the ring with her. She waited for her opponent, but this time around she wasn't distracted by her fans, her recent word exchange with Tessa had sparked something within her, and she stretched, she jumped and she stared at the ramp, waiting for the third generation wrestler to show up.
Tessa's music hit, and she was out there and being greeted by mixed reactions from the audience. She turned, her hair flipped, she winked and she walked with her arms at her sides, owner of her actions and the floor she walked on. Even as she got up on the apron, she seemed unfazed by her dangerous opponent.
The grudge between the pair had been building for days now and both women looked like they had been spoiling for this fight. Blanchard took the initiative and came at the other third generation wrestler with force, coming right out of the gate by overtaking Shaul in a lockup.
For the majority of the time, they were matching nearly blow for blow. Shaul knocked Tessa back and seemed to be regaining footing in the match, but the Queen of Diamonds had another thing planned and turned around just in time, before Shaul could catch her for a suplex, and poked her eye. The referee seemed to not notice, despite being directly in front of the two wrestlers when it happened. The crowd went completely wild, yelling, booing, trying to tell the referee what had happened. Neither official, nor Tessa seemed fazed at the audience's screams, and Shaul was still trying to clear her vision when the other third generation wrestler grabbed her and managed to land the DiamondDDT. She covered her up in a hurry and the ref counted to three. (A little too fast, and finished just before Shaul's shoulder came up.)
Tessa stood triumphantly to the boos of many. The match had taken a toll on her based on her stance but she stood victoriously and sneered down at Shaul and took Louden's mic as he was about to enter the ring again, snatching it from him.
This is just proof of what all these people already knew, Shaul.
She motioned the microphone out at the entire crowd, but still addressed her injured opponent.
I am Still the best legacy wrestler here. Not You. Not Charlotte, but Me.
She scoffed and turned her back to the other woman, but looked over her shoulder condescendingly.
You should have stayed in retirement where you belong.
She tossed the mic behind her letting it fall with a thud to the mat as she walked back out to her music.
Shaul slowly got up and was helped out by the ring crew but pushed them off, looking more than a little upset by the other woman's words. She proved that she could walk on her own and stormed backstage.
Once both women had vacated the Ring and Louden had looked both ways to make sure neither of them was coming back, he pulled himself back up and through the second rope.
The announcer picked up the fallen microphone and dusted it off with the sleeve of his suit jacket.
Well, there you have it, Phoenix Fans! If I had to guess, that doesn't look like it's over... But for now, it is! Before anything else happens, I bring a match, set for one fall between Mr. Athletisim, Jeff Cobb and Australia's Best Kept Secret, Buddy Murphy!
Jeff Cobb vs Buddy Murphy

Korn's Coming Undone started playing, and Jeff Cobb's shadow spread through the ramp like a terrifying monster, even if his attitude opposed how imposing his figure was, the audience still gave way for him. Quiet at the start and getting progressively louder as he approached the ring, the lights increasing in intensity as he moved by them. He removed his shirt once inside the ring, climbing the turnbuckle with ease and dropping to the middle of the ring to wait for his opponent, rolling his neck and stretching in anticipation.
A Bass Renaissance filled the air to announce the arrival of Buddy Murphy in a very ominous way. The 5'11" Australian came down the ramp, flanked by Tenille Dashwood and Madison Eagles, two other members of the Rapscallion's Rebellion, who accompanied him to the ring and let him do his entrance while they circled the ring like sharks, stopping at Murphy's corner only when he was face to face with his opponent.
Cobb's strength turned the match in his favour really early on, and Murphy's companions turned to look at each other and got up on the apron. They didn't move, they didn't interfere, they just stood there, and though the referee asked them to hop off, there was very little he could do, since they weren't doing anything illegal.
After a quick change of pace, where Murphy's speed got the better of Cobb, and while the two wrestled in one corner of the ring, Madison and Tenille discreetly untied one of the turnbuckle pads.
Close to the fifteen-minute mark, Murphy pushed Cobb against the same corner where his compatriots stood, effectively making them hop off and stand just outside of contact. He relentlessly tackled him against the corner, thrusting against his body with his shoulder, so much so, that the pad came completely undone, and before the referee was able to see it, Cobb was sent directly against the exposed metal.
Murphy didn't notice what had just happened and continued the match, his opponent was suffocated and in pain from the earlier contact, but the Australian had done his fair damage. He ran for the top rope and set up for a Diving Meteora, using it to successfully pin Cobb for the three count.

Once Jeff had returned backstage, still angry about his loss, kicking at anything he could find in his way, Mandy met with him, carefully approaching from his side.
Another day, another loss for those who play fair, isn't it? He listened intently but didn't respond.
If we could only play dirtier than they do... If we went one step below and beyond... Isn't it a shame when we have to lock our darkest side to save others, while we harm ourselves in the process? I can help you bring that dark side out, Jeff. I can end this losing streak we both have. If you help me, I can help you. We could both regain what is rightfully ours...
Jeff watched her, and heard the offer, but declined by just stepping away from her, leaving a smirking Mandy alone for the moment.

Louden was watching the segment from the ring for most of it, leaning back against a turnbuckle. He let out a low whistle at the end. The crowd seemed to be having mixed reactions to the segment, a couple of them yelling out a few choice words.
Tonight we have two more matches for you! Let's keep that energy up!
Next, we have Hania, The Howling Huntress Versus someone who has had a lot to say lately, Frankie Valentine!
He rolled back out of the ring before the music could hit and sat back beside the commentary table.
Hania vs Frankie Valentine

Hania came in with her usual seductive cadence, walking down the ramp calmly, making her way inside the ring through the third rope, using it to propel herself up and landing on her knees, howling right before removing her wolf-like cloak, setting it on her corner while she waited for her opponent to appear. She was decided to silence the rookie, and she waited confidently against the corner, watching.
The first few notes of “I Will Not Bow” hit, and the crowd perked up, anxious to see the owner of the Breaking Benjamin tune as the titantron loads. The cheers quickly split to boos, albeit a few groups of fans, as Frankie Valentine’s name and face appear and she sauntered out of the curtain with her hands up and a microphone in one of them, making a turn to show herself off and flexed, before walking down the ramp.
She slid into the ring and up on the turnbuckle and flexed her arms again with a smirk on her face, hopping down.
Well hello to you too, Chicago. You can boo me all you want but if you were in my situation, you’d all do the same damn thing.
The crowd booed louder, and Frankie chuckled and shook her head.
My daddy taught me that if you want something done, sometimes you have to do it yourself. And I did! I took a folding chair, came out here to the ring and made a freakin’ statement. I’m not the one that will sit back and wait for these things to be handed to me, I go out and get them. I wanted this match and here I am. Hania, don’t you dare underestimate me. I don’t care who you are or how long you’ve been in this business. When I’m on a mission, I will see through it because I’m the best damn thi-
Hania didn't wait for the other woman to finish, and forearmed her right in the face, sending the microphone flying to the other side of the ring. The bell rung and the fans in attendance got even louder.
From the commentary table, Mike made it clear that the match had been requested directly by the Huntress after the events at Native Ground. Frankie's recent attitude had put her in Hania's sights and the more experienced wrestler wasn't going easy on the rookie.
With a formidable display of athleticism, she controlled the tempo of the match the entire time, and while Valentine could get in some offence, it only seemed to aggravate the situation she was in. The Viking Pixie was resilient and took the punishment like there was no better moment than right now to prove herself, but in the end, experience won over determination when Hania took the smaller woman out with a double knee facebreaker, pinning her for the three count.
The crowd was going wild after the match and Louden grinned, clearly loving the sound of applause.
Did you like that?
There was a loud, positive response from the fans.
Alright, alright, that's enough. We've reached our main event of the evening. Everyone that watched our little show this Friday saw what happened to Jinny and Jimmy Havoc and the message from our newcomers from Australia. With that in mind, the following contest is scheduled for one fall.
He didn't name the two contestants but it seemed pretty clear who they were. He backed up and rolled out of the ring.
Jimmy Havoc vs Mick Moretti

Jimmy Havoc came out slowly, biding his time and waiting for the right moment during Silent Descent's Psychotic Euphoric to walk down the ramp. His red jacket moved behind him, and his long figure spilling in shadows, framed by the eerie red lights on the floor. The shadows flipped to his back as he moved and the lighting switched, letting his shadow linger behind him as he stepped inside the ring.
Mick Moretti had the lights turned off for his entrance. Just static on the titantron as the first notes of Galactic Pegasus' Turn Down For What hit. He ran down, goggles and cane in hand, wearing a tailcoat jacket to accompany him down the ramp along with Jett Armstrong and Rhea Ripley. He had a huge smile on his face. People didn't know what to make of him, and that was fine.
He knew they'd know his name after this match. He spun around to the heavy music and the crowd's reactions when they realised what they were hearing ranged from amused to absolutely hooked on the man's actions.
Before his companions could reach ringside, he stopped them and after a quick exchange, they left ringside. A little more than confused.
The match was evenly distributed between the two men. Havoc's reckless blows were no match for Moretti's speed and unpredictable style, and ultimately, the Green Dragon took the upper hand, delivering a beautiful diving double knee drop to a laid out Havoc, who rolled out before a second one could land. Moretti rolled, straight into a superkick, and the wrestling turned into a brawl for a few seconds, enough to spill out of the ring, with both men coming back inside just in time before the ten count ended.
At this point, both didn't know what to do, what would keep the other one down. But Moretti's Snapmare Driver was enough to keep the King of Goths down and out of the contest. Ripley and Armstrong waited for their leader at the top of the ramp, and once he got there, Jimmy started to come to and was able to leave the ring without assistance.
As the music faded, Louden climbed back into the ring and paced around it once, letting the cheers, jeers and shouts of the audience calm.

Mandy Leon met Jimmy Havoc backstage, when he was already changed into his street clothes and ready to leave the arena with his bag on his shoulder. He was still holding his head and the Exotic Goddess almost missed him, but held his arm to get his attention.
Jimmy Havoc. A word, please?
He tilted his head, but audibly dropped his bag on the floor next to him, ready to listen for as long as she was willing to talk.
