PCW Phase Thirty-Five: The Order of the Phoenix

UIC Pavilion

Ricochet vs PJ Black

Both men had gone through a losing streak lately, and neither of them wanted to continue down this path. They fought tooth and nail to keep the advantage during the match, and for just the opener, they already had the audience in awe with both of their high-flying abilities, going through the entire match without the scale leaning towards a specific corner.

Finally, it was Ricochet who took the win over a very frustrated PJ Black.

Judas Scream vs Chris Cadwell

In a two-point versus two-point contest, it was just a matter of who was going to come out of this ready to challenge for a championship. Through the first part of the match, it seemed Judas had the upper hand, but just as he was about to pin Cadwell, the turnbuckle he was standing on started to tremble, causing him to fall basically all the way down to the floor, though he managed to land on a knee, looking around for the source of the sudden tremor.

Isla Dawn stood on the other side of the ring, waving at Judas from her position, but just before he had time to move closer to the witch, Chris jumped on him with a springboard crossbody, bringing him to the inside of the ring only to finish him off with a double stomp, getting his third point for championship contention.

Sami Callihan vs Will Ospreay

Sami Callihan had threatened that his last victory wouldn't be just a flash in a pan, and he delivered, putting Ospreay through hell and back, moving before any of the aerial assassin's moves could connect, or pushing his body against the ropes when he knew he was in imminent danger of the Oscutter coming into play.

All his precautions actually paid off when he was able to put Will away with the Cradle Killer, lifting his third point and giving it a bite for good measure.

Charlie Morgan vs Joey Ryan

Charlie was well on her way to getting her third point, and this was the decisive moment for her chance at a championship, while Joey had yet to get back in possession of third points, though his eyes were set on the All-Weight championship, coming into that contest with three points, would mean he could potentially become a double champion, if all the porn deities were on his side.

Unfortunately, the deities weren't on his side, and Charlie's resilience took him down, not easily, but definitely, pinning him clean to get her third point for championship contention.

Taeler Hendrix (with Jay Lethal) vs Austin Theory

After the role that Taeler had during his last fight with Jay, Austin was more than happy to get to face the poison princess one-on-one, despite Lethal being in her corner for this, that would show him to face things head on instead of allowing for help to be provided.

Austin wasted no time in getting Hendrix on her toes, trying to fight off the still-prevalent scent of pheromones in the air, shaking his head several times to focus on the match at hand and clear his blurry vision to keep going.

Despite his best efforts, the slow acting pheromones, though worn from the slowly cooling weather, did their job, and he started to doze off while holding Taeler in a tight sharpshooter, allowing the force of nature to escape. All it took was a kiss of death and Theory was done, though still awake and trying his hardest to escape, but Taeler had already gotten the win, and her third point for contention.

Jinny vs Taya Valkyrie

The turn out from the TWA fans was astounding, the place was fully packed and ready to see the champion of the present face the champion of the future. Both women went into the match bloodthirsty and with a lot to prove, the fashionista had a legacy to uphold and a path of her own to carve, while Taya had to show why she was the crowned champion of the "big girls" league, while testing the talent and lighting a fire under the TWA roster's ass to step up their game.

Jinny didn't pull any punches, taking down the stronger woman any chance she got, but Taya didn't go soft on the other champion,  throwing her from side to side of the ring. By the middle of the match, Taya's forehead was open from a vicious headbutt from Jinny, and the couture queen followed shortly after when the favour was returned to her.

Exhausted, bloodied and barely standing, they started to wonder what would it take to keep the other one down, and finally, it was the acid rainmaker from Jinny that did the job, but despite the bragging and the teasing, they shook hands (probably rougher than necessary) after the astounding match they'd just had.
