Phase Sixty-Two: Fury Road

Moment of Bliss with Salina de La Renta & Low-Ki

M1.png

Alexa sits in her chair with a mic in hand and a bright smile on her face. The blonde flips her hair over her shoulder and the fans begin to boo her as she speaks. “Welcome to another Moment of Bliss. Please join me in a round of applause for my guest tonight, Salina!” The fans boo even louder as Salina makes her way out to the stage without Low-Ki by her side. She takes a seat in the free chair and smooths the wrinkles from her blue shirt.

“Thank you for having me tonight, Alexa, because I have a lot to say.”

“I’m sure everyone else is thinking what I’m thinking. What’s going on with you and Scarlett? You’ve had it out for her two weeks in a row, calling Bordeaux out.”

“All I asked was for Scarlett to upgrade herself. Nothing more or less. She seems really content with being a second-class citizen, though. Claiming it’s in the name of women’s empowerment.” Salina starts to laugh and shake her head. “She uses that label to mask the fact that she’s nothing more than your everyday street rat. A hussy, a regular Jezebel.”

“Woah, there! It’s a bit odd hearing you say that when...we’ve all seen those Instagram posts. You aren’t exactly a conservative woman,” Bliss says and the crowd breaks out into a wave of “oooohs.”

“No, I’m not. I do post a lot of revealing photos, but I never mix that side of me with business. When I step into this ring, I’m all business. No games, no ‘Smokeshows,’ or whatever she calls it. When it comes to wrestling, I don’t have time to play strip poker with the ‘fans.’” Salina raises a brow and looks Alexa up and down. “You could use the same help I was trying to offer Scarlett.”

Alexa scrunches up her face, getting ready to lash out, but Bordeaux beats her to it. The woman races out and shoves the chair over. Salina topples and Scarlett throws punch after punch as she climbs on top of Salina. The brunette barely manages to escape and races down the ramp. She tries to escape into the ring, but Scarlett yanks her back out before slapping Salina across the face. She tosses Salina into the barricade and looks to continue her assault before Low-Ki takes her down from behind. He sends Scarlett into the ring post before helping Salina to her feet.

The businesswoman tosses her shoes off and grabs a chair. She tosses it into the ring and sends Bordeaux in after it before setting the woman up for a DDT onto the chair. Salina laughs as she kneels over Bordeaux. The blonde is barely conscious as Salina shoves her head playfully. The brunette wasn’t done, however, and held Scarlett down as Low-Ki climbs up high for the double foot stomp. The two stand tall over Scarlett, arms raised high above them.

Spike Trivet vs Austin Aries (Special Guest Referee)

M2.png

Austin and Trivet await their guest referee and as time passes, the two become more impatient. Only when the lights go out do they both tense up, ready to fight whoever they assumed was going to attack. As the lights returned, Pavor stood in the middle of the ring. He looked to Aries before slowly settling his eyes on Spike. He held a new doll in hand. Rather than sitting it down, it remained in his hand as he called for the bell. Trivet was unsure but had no time to think as Austin tackled him down into the corner. Aries threw punch after punch, and forearms to Spike with so much strength until the man dropped down into the corner. Austin raced forward with the dropkick to the chest before hooking the leg. Pavor made a two count before Spike kicked out.

Trivet makes a comeback after a missed discus lariat. He plants Aries with a DDT before going to the top. Pavor watched closely as Trivet goes for a frog splash. Austin rolls out of the way and sets him up with the Brainbuster. Trivet is planted but as Pavor counts, he gets the leg on the ropes. Aries goes up high for a potential 450 Splash, but Spike swipes the leg. Aries tries to fight back and even jabs Trivet in the eye, but Pavor doesn’t care. He watches Austin try to follow up with a huracarrana from the top. Spike is sent into the ropes. He rolls out onto the apron and Aries spears him through the ropes.

Pavor doesn’t count while they’re outside the ring. He simply follows them as they battle back and forth. He seems to have little regard for the rules of this match and wants to see as much chaos as possible. Spike picks up on this and sends Aries into the barricade before attacking him with a steel chair. Strike after strike after strike. Austin’s body starts to turn red and Pavor looks on, unfazed. Trivet looks his way with a glare and Pavor looks back with a smile. Trivet steps up to him with the chair, clearly not over their short stint as a tag team. Pavor doesn’t make any move to attack nor seems upset, but Austin uses the distraction for a neckbreaker onto the outside. He sends Trivet into the ring before going up high for the 450 Splash and plants Spike for the three count.

Pavor joins his former partner in the ring and shakes his head before laughing, something uncharacteristic of him. Ever since his first doll was destroyed, he was different. It appears that remains the same. Pavor stepped over Spike’s body, the doll still in hand, and exits the arena.

Flash Morgan Webster vs MJF (With Aria Blake)

M3.png

MJF does his best to keep up with Morgan, but the speed of Webster catches MJF off guard. Webster takes him down with an arm drag and MJF rolls out of the ring. Aria tries to check on him and help him recuperate. Morgan goes for a dive and Aria shoves MJF out of the way to take the hit. That doesn’t sit too well with MJF and he spears Morgan to the floor. Punch after punch thrown before slamming the back of the head into the floor multiple times. MJF tosses Webster into the ring for the pin. Morgan kicks out at two.

MJF keeps control with a chinlock, but Morgan escapes and sweeps the legs. He ties MJF up with a surfboard hold, but MJF tosses him off eventually. He goes for a clothesline but misses as Webster springboards off the ropes for a crossbody for a two-count. Morgan goes up to the top, but Aria is up on the apron, shouting at him for attacking her. The referee tries to get her down and MJF low blows Webster and sends the man tumbling down onto the adjacent apron. He steps out, looking to plant Morgan for the DDT. He doesn’t move and MJF rolls him back in for another pin to end the match.

My world is fire and blood

M4.png

There's a control room, dimly lit except for the light coming from the monitors, where each wrestler from PCW shows on them. A red-clad figure faces towards the screens, back turned to the camera as he speaks.

"Your planet is a grain of sand in the desert that is the universe. But your life is stagnant, the human race is made up of people trying to prove they're better than others by putting them down. I'm here to show you that nothing can remain static, everything is evolving, everything is falling apart."

The shot changes and a red visor comes into view, the reflection of places, matches, faces and buildings appearing on them.

"I've seen galaxies destroyed over the things you do to one another, to other races, to your trees, to your oceans...

And I want the same thing to happen to yours.

My name is Loren Armitage, and I am this world's—No, this universe's Project Mayhem. And your entire civilization is in my hands."

He grins and turns around, all the monitors that had been scrolling over the PCW roster stopping to form, piece by piece, █████'s face.

Phil Jackal vs Dean Ambrose vs Charlie Morgan vs Will Ospreay (Elimination Match)

M5.png

This is a fast-paced match with every competitor giving it their all. Charlie looked ready to win it all, but once planting Dean with a DDT, Jackal sends her out of the ring and tangles him up in a Calf Mutilation submission hold until the Lunatic Fringe taps out.

Mecha Wolf & Baron Corbin vs Frankie Valentine & Natalya

M6.png

Mecha and Baron were far too distracted and it showed as Frankie and Natalya took control. It was Mecha’s missed suicide dive that turned the tide in Natalya and Frankie’s favour. Frankie sets him up for the St. Valentine’s Day manoeuvre as Natalya kept Corbin at bay for the victory.

As the women celebrated, the men seemed less angry and more in a hurry. They quickly exited the ring, disappearing into the crowd.

Interview with R.A.W.

M7.png

Hayley stands between Carmella and Tessa backstage. Both women just finished watching the tag match for tonight, but neither looked impressed. Hayley smiles. “Ladies and gentlemen, we have R.A.W here tonight. It seems as if you ladies were paying close attention to the tag match tonight. Thoughts?”

“It baffles me that Natalya and Frankie are champions right now,” Carmella says. “I mean, Natalya is a third-generation legend, sure. Frankie has some skill of her own, but when you shove them together you just got this big, ole mess. It’s pure luck how far they’ve gotten.”

Blanchard nods in agreement and laughs. “Last week, R.A.W proved that we are the most dominant tag team in PCW. We defeated Zack and Jimmy, a rather opposing team...but not the best. As soon as Carmella was added to the equation, it became really clear who has the best chemistry as a unit and of course, royalty won.

“Tessa and I have journeyed from OTE all the way to PCW just to showcase why we were the longest reigning champions in the former promotion. It’s been a long time coming, but I’m finally here to help my girl and run this division.”

“You mentioned Zack and Jimmy,” Hayley says. “Do you think they’ll just...let that victory slide?”

“Oh, they’ll have to,” Tessa says. “Zack spent weeks harassing me, attacking me, trying to use some bimbo to make me jealous and where did it get him? Single and a loss from the best tag team in PCW. He said I was the prideful one, but his arrogance cost him a lot. If he still thinks he has any stake in facing me or R.A.W again, he’s got another thing coming. This fight is over because I said so. We’re moving forward, I’m moving forward.”

Bargaining Chip

M7b.PNG

Melissa roams the halls, gently calling out to Sami. Her echo answered back. The brunette turned a corner slowly, worried she may see Wyatt. She continued through PCW, checking behind doors without labels, peeking around the corner in fear of being caught. Taya made it clear over the week that she didn’t belong here and anything that goes on in PCW stays in PCW. Melissa couldn’t accept that. She couldn’t just let Sami be this hollow shell of himself. No, she had to find the man she fell in love with...or die trying.

Melissa looked for half an hour, steadily losing hope. PCW was like a maze. Her sense of direction felt skewed as if the building was leading her astray. Melissa laughed to herself after that thought. “As if this place alive... C’mon, Melissa. Get it together, girl.” Even as she laughed it off, the idea didn’t seem too far off. The walls felt like they were breathing, the halls moving. She’s positive she went down the same one more than once. The woman cried out in frustration and leaned against the wall. The space behind her pressed in and triggered the wall to move back. She fell through and landed at the top of a staircase.

The woman knows she should turn back. There’s no telling what it leads to...but she went anyways, curiosity getting the best of her. Melissa followed the lanterns that lit her way and descended. The further she went, the louder voices became. One was familiar—Bray’s. The other was a mystery. It was a woman and the closer she got, the more confused she became about who it could be. Hairs stood on the back of her neck, fear begging her to turn back, but heart forcing her to move forward. She reached the bottom and came upon a...ritual space?

That’s the best way to describe it. The middle of the room had a symbol drawn into it, candles at each corner. They bled red wax as the flame persistently burned. Sami was nowhere to be seen, but Bray was in view. He was in the chair, gently pushing himself as the woman spoke to him. She couldn’t see her. Melissa ducked behind the wall and tried to peek out. The woman came into view, but she didn’t recognize her. Raven locks, black eyes, and a dark robe covering her black bodysuit. Rings adorned her fingers and a spiked crown sat upon her head. She grasped a book within her palms, speaking softly with a smile.

“You lure my Corvus back to me and I will hand over his soul to you. I only need his body, anyhow... Are we at an agreement?” Bray chuckles to himself and nods.

“I will have Sami fetch him in due time.”

The woman grins. “I’m a patient woman. As soon as he is back in my grasp, I’ll use what’s left to take Indigo. Rip her apart piece by piece—heart, tongue, eyes, liver—mmm. She’ll make a lovely meal. Would you like to join me?” Wyatt ponders the question and smiles.

“I’d rather take her essence. You may keep her body.”

“That’s if Hania doesn’t get to her first...”

The woman starts to laugh as Sami cape into view. He shuffles along and drops to the floor within the symbol. The woman begins to sprinkle his body with black powder before speaking an incantation. The lines that are drawn glow a bright red. They materialize from the ground and begin to seep into his body, draining into his veins. They feel his eyes until they’re a red hue. Callihan twitches, convulses, groans in pain. Melissa watches in horror as he writhes in agony for several moments, covering her mouth from crying aloud. Sami drops to the floor and lies still and Melissa emits a muffled sob. Still, it’s enough for the woman to hear and twist her neck 180 degrees to look directly at Melissa.

Bray stands from the chair and lays his eyes upon Melissa. “A fly on the wall...about to be caught in our web.” Melissa wastes no time in racing back up the stairwell. Neither Bray nor the woman chase after her. She stumbled up the steps and fumbles for some kind of lever to free her. She slams on the wall, screaming for help, choking on her sobs. Heavy footsteps follow her and she turns to see a shadow coming up the steps. Melissa screams at the top of her lungs, panic rising. A hand grabs her shoulder tight and forces her to turn around. Sami looks her in the eye, his burning with hellish flames. His veins were just as red. He grabbed her neck and choked her, lifting her from the ground.

“Sami....please...” she choked. “It’s me...”

He cocked his head in confusion, but the realization came seconds later. He slowly let her go. She choked as she fell down to her knees. “Melissa....” the fire left his eyes momentarily. Sami helped her to her feet. “Leave.”

“Not without you.” She cupped his face, leaning in to lightly peck his lips. He lets out a struggled growl and shoves her through the door before closing it behind him.

Jay Lethal (With Taeler Hendrix) vs Kyle O'Reilly

M8.png

Kyle and Jay go back and forth, hold after hold. Taeler watches on as Jay gains the advantage after a jumping knee to the face. He goes for the Lethal Injection early on, but O’Reilly counters with a superkick to the back of the head. Jay rolls out of the ring and Taeler checks on him before sliding into the ring. She doesn’t touch him to avoid a disqualification, but she has no problem mouthing off to him. Kyle lets the redhead talk before headbutting her. He then sends her over the ropes onto the apron before kicking her in the head.

Lethal uses that distraction for a German suplex from behind into a bridged pin. Kyle kicks out at one. Jay sets him up for the double chicken wing suplex, but Kyle reverses into a cradled pin. Jay kicks out at two. O’Reilly takes him down with a dropkick and Lethal rolls onto the apron. Taeler checks on him again and Kyle tries to argue with her through the ropes. The referee, too distracted with her, doesn’t see Lethal jab Kyle in the eye. He gets into the ring for another Lethal Injection and plants O’Reilly. He hooks the leg, but Kyle gets his foot on the ropes.

Jay sets him up for a brainbuster, but Kyle manages to reverse into a neckbreaker. He rolls out onto the apron and they both stand at the same time. Lethal races forward and misses the shoulder tackle. Kyle slams a knee into the face and pulls Lethal out onto the apron for a Brainbuster. He rolls Jay in and pins the man for the three count.

The Silent Fury

M9.PNG

Hania, while able to roam free, was still confined to a locked room since last week. Not even Mecha and Baron could calm her down. She clawed and growled at them every time they came near, forcing them to lock her away. Even now, she beats at the door with kicks and howls at the top of her lungs. “LET ME OUT! LET ME HUNT!” She screeches and howls even more just as Indigo approaches with Corvus behind. Baron and Mecha stand, guarding the door as they glare. Indigo holds up her hands.

“We aren’t here to fight.”

“She is unstable...” Corvus says. “We can help.”

“We don’t need your kind of help,” Baron growls. He steps towards Indigo and Corvus immediately guards her against him. Baron grabs him by the front of his shirt.

“Baron, enough!” Mecha puts a hand on his shoulder. “It’s clear Hania is losing herself. While we don’t approve of humanity much...she can’t be stuck like this. She’s a threat to all of us.”

Corbin backs down, but shoves Corvus back. Indigo steps forward and looks towards the door. “Corvus thinks there’s a way to at least put her to rest for a while. Then we can figure out a way to help her that doesn’t involve locking her up like an animal.”

“She is an animal,” Wolf responds. “Always has been. Just tamed.” Mecha turns to approach the door. “As soon as we go in, we have to pin her down or say goodbye to your throats.” He lifts his chin to show where Hania clawed him. Indigo grimaces and Corvus looks worried. Before Wolf could open the door, however, a hand was put on Corvus’s shoulder. He reacted with an immediate swipe, but Havoc grabbed his arm with ease.

“Are you hurt?”

“Not as much as before. Indigo he—“

“Indigo almost got you killed,” Jimmy says, eyes darting to Indigo with a harsh glare. “Maybe next time, Indigo should stay put or she might just find herself in an ugly predicament.”

“Back off, Jimmy. Corvus knew what he was getting into against Hania.” She shakes her head as Corvus steps between them.

“Move. If he wants a fight, he can gladly get his ass kicked.”

“We are here for Hania, not for fights.”

Corvus looks to Jimmy. “You should not be here.”

“Actually, I’m here for her, too. See when an animal acts out, it needs to be put to rest. For good.”

“Over our dead bodies,” Wolf says and stands in front of the door with Baron inching towards Jimmy.

“Gladly.” Jimmy steps forward, but Corvus holds him back.

“We are NOT here to fight,” he says. His voice carries in an echo and everyone stops to look at him. He rarely gets emotional, but his grip on Jimmy’s hand was tight. His arm shook, but his face was hardened.

“We must save her from herself... That is my goal. And then...Vipress. If you’re not here to help, then go, Jimmy.”

Havoc stares at him for a long time before looking towards the door. “You can’t separate her from the animal side, but you can tame it. What you were planning to do is just a temporary fix. You wanna really help? You need to get to the person who made her that way to begin with.”

“Harlow,” Indigo mutters to herself.

Never Forget

M10.png

“Jenny, Jenny, Jenny...”

A dark chuckle falls from two-toned lips as Priscilla comes into view. She holds a Black Rose in her hands as she leans against the wall. One boot pressed against the wall as she sighs softly.

“You seem to think Taya was making your life Hell, but you couldn’t possibly imagine what kind of Hell I could put you through.”

She stares at the flower for a moment, going silent as she inhaled a soft breath.

“Did you honestly think I’d forgotten about how we left things off so suddenly?”

Another dark, breathy laugh falls from her lips and she pushes away from the wall.

“I didn’t forget about our last encounters. I didn’t forget about how you thought you could fight so hard. Only to come up empty-handed in the end.” She licks over her lips, staring into the camera now.

“By the time I’m finished with you? You could only wish Taya had finished the job, because, sweetheart?” She laughs and shakes her head. “You couldn’t possibly imagine what I have in store for you.” She drops the rose, stepping away as she crushes it beneath her boot.

Jenny Blake vs Rhea Ripley

M11.png

Blake had Rhea on the ropes. She was much too fast for the Australian and nearly took her down with a tilt-a-whirl packaged pin. Rhea was able to power out at two and finally bring Jenny to a halt with a knee to the gut. She tosses Blake into the corner with multiple strikes to the abdomen. She slings Jenny out of the corner and races forward with a shoulder tackle for the pin. Jenny kicks out at two. Rhea’s onslaught continues, but Jenny eventually counters an Alabama slam with a roll up. She follows up with double knees to the face for another close pin.

When she looks to end it with a Canadian Destroyer, Ripley sends her flying over. Jenny rolls out onto the apron as the referee checks on Ripley first. She’s dropped down to the mat in exhaustion and Blake tries to recuperate. Priscilla races down the ramp and drags Blake out onto the floor. She choked Blake on the outside before misting the woman with some kind of green substance. Jenny is blinded and tossed into the ring post. Ripley sees her opportunity and shoves Jenny back into the ring for the Riptide to win another point.

Priscilla circles the outside of the ring as Rhea exited and slowly slide in, crawling towards Blake as she lies still on the mat. Kelly gently drags a nail along the side of Jenny’s face before purposely making a welp mark. The succubus then mounts Blake before throwing her arms up high in the air, a sinister laugh parting from her lips.

Tyler Breeze is laid up in his hospital bed, but after pulling some strings, Taya was able to convince the staff to make Breeze as comfortable as possible. According to Tyler, that meant extra fluffy pillows, colourful bed sheets, a bedazzled neck brace and a room with the best window view overlooking the city.

The blonde had the staff bring him a bowl of chopped fruits that he forked into his mouth as he flipped through the channels. Breeze eventually landed on a fashion show and continued to eat in peace. He pushed the button on his bedside remote to call for assistance. The door opens and someone enters as he’s focused on the tv. “I need more fruit,” he says and shoves the bowl into their hands. The person doesn’t leave, however, and instead drops the bowl. “What the hell, lad—“

He looked up and realized Killer Kross stood above him completely dressed in white. He blended right in while no one was looking. He grabbed Breeze by the shirt and lifted the man out of his bed just as Tyler started to scream for help. Kross tossed him to the floor as trashed the entire room in the process of assaulting Breeze. Kross drags Tyler to the window and smashes the glass. He makes sure there’s plenty of room before shoving half of Tyler out of it. The blonde panics as his legs dangle from the sixth floor.

“It would be so easy...” Kross says with a heavy breath.

Tyler gazed up into the eyes of the madman, realizing Kross is crazy enough to drop him. “Splat...and gone just like that. Is your title worth your life, Tyler? Is it?!” Breeze doesn’t answer, more focused on potentially falling than his words. Kross starts to laugh just as security bursts into the room. They pull him and Tyler back from the window, arresting Kross on the spot. Nurses tend to Tyler as Kross is forced out of the building, wild eyes still locked on Tyler with hateful glee.

“Time’s running out!”
