PCW Phase Twelve: The Darkness Of Mere Being
Once again, the UIC Pavillion nestled in the Windy City was packed with eager wrestling fans, more than ready for the thirteenth instalment of the still young company. They talked among each other, several signs dotted the first few rows of the crowd and others as well.
There was a moment of hush as the lights went out, then a loud, overwhelming chant of "PCW" from the crowd accompanying the beginning notes of The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy. As soon as the first chorus began, Louden Noxious slid into view in his full suit and spiked hair, one hand raised high with the mic clutched in his grip. He paused for all of a moment before sprinting up to the right, ducking under the second rope to enter.
Hello, hello Chicago! And welcome to another heart-stopping evening of PCW here at the UIC Pavillion. We have a lot going on tonight so we're going to get started right away with our first match! Roll that music!
He dipped back out of the ring, the crowd still going wild.
Shaul Guerrero vs Princess Kimber Lee

Shaul Guerrero's confidence exuded through her every step as she walked with down the ramp, her hips moving with her, her charisma and flair coming into the ring with her. She waited for her opponent while stretching and talking to some of her fans in the front row.
The first thirty seconds of 'Fighter' by Sumo Cyco began to blare throughout the arena. A few moments later, the tiny princess made her way through the curtain and out onto the ramp. A bright smile planted across her lips as she wore a tiara upon her head, a second one held in her hands. Kimber Lee made her way to the ring, smiling brightly and slapping hands with fans. Only stopping halfway around the ring spotting a small girl wearing one of her t-shirts. She gave her a tight hug, placing the extra tiara upon her head before quickly sliding into the ring and into a vertical stance. She gave a bow, smiling brightly as she awaited her opponent in a corner of the ring.
Guerrero went into the match with one contention point, and the Princess had just lost her two points to Jenny Blake last season. The only way for both women was up. But only one would leave with the first stone on their path for the championship.
They didn't waste time on initial lockups, both trying to inflict as much damage possible to increase their chances for a pin. The battle went on for almost twenty minutes, between feats of strength and high flying moves. The match was becoming intense, the arena was divided equally with supporters for both wrestlers.
Finally, a beaten up Shaul was taken by surprise by Kimber Lee's powerful suplexes. One after the other, the Princess took the third generation wrestler to Suplex Kingdom to get the pin. Both of them remained laid out on the mat for a few seconds, trying to catch their breath.
The crowd was going wild from the opening match, showing their support loudly. Louden pushed up from his seat by commentary and once both competitors were on their way backstage he made it back up into the ring.
Now that's how you start a show, folks! Our next matchup is between someone you already know and love and a fresh new face. Let's hear it, Flockers! You know what to do!
At his indication, the crowd cheered and Louden vacated the ring once again to leave room for the wrestlers.
Robbie Sallis vs Chad Lail

Robbie Sallis came out as confident as always, jumping up and down. He was met with cheering this time around, people knew him and loved him, and they had his back with signs and with chants. The reception followed him to the ring, and he waited there until his opponent came down the ramp.
"Day of rage" started playing and Chad Lail walked down the ramp with a stern look on his face, arms at his sides, strong and confident as he stepped inside the ring to meet his opponent.
During the match, the powerhouse and the technician pushed each other to the limit, Sallis focused on Lail's arms to take the big man down and keep his strong moves stunted as much as possible. Chad was put in the center and powered through Robbie's submissions, but still had to roll out of the ring a few times to stretch out his knee, which had taken a good while of punishment by the middle of the match.
After almost ten minutes, the competition started to balance, and the newcomer had quickly learned to keep his opponent off his legs and not stay in the mat for long, not giving him the chance to damage his leg more than he already had. Finally, while Robbie resisted through the backbreaker rack, a frustrated Chad put him down with the Hangar 18, rolling him over after for the pin.
It was clear that the fans were fully invested in the show tonight and were reacting to everything that happened in the crowd. There was a near electric energy through them and the reaction was huge when the pin was called.
Louden made it back in the ring and leaned against one of the turnbuckles, looking into the audience.
We have officially made it halfway through the show but we still have so much more for you. We have one more match that's sure to keep you on the edge of your seat followed by a title match, so let me keep hearing those voices and get ready for another singles match!
With that, he rolled back out of the ring to join the commentators once again.
Rhea Ripley vs Santana Garrett

Rhea came out to a happier beat, bouncing and running down the ramp while touching hands, stopping a few seconds here and there before reaching the ring, climbing up on the apron and sliding between the ropes, climbing up on the turnbuckle to pump the already excited audience, the fans cheering even louder for the hyper Australian.
"I wanna jump" blasted through the speakers and Santana Garrett made her way down the ramp, touching hands with her fans in front row and those who stretched to touch her as well, once she got to the ring apron, she stood there for a second and flipped herself over the third rope to land inside the ring.
Garrett and Rhea started the match in a very friendly way, both of them having fun while trying to earn their first point for individual championship contention.
Santana used her high-flying ability to try and keep Rhea down on the mat, making several pin attempts while Rhea tried to apply several submission holds and plain out just knock her opponent out. During the gruelling minutes of the match, the audience was more than entertained, chanting their names, making up new chants along the way and suggesting moves, which many times, were happily accepted by the competitors.
In the end, after a superkick followed by a Shinning Star Press, Santana Garrett took the win over the Australian, helped her up and received her first point from the referee.
Louden pulled himself into the ring after the conclusion of the match and walked to center ring, visibly waiting for the crowd's response to die down a little before he spoke.
Alright! It's the moment you've all been waiting for! Tonight, we have a clash between two fierce competitors, battling it out for the ultimate prize. I hope you're ready for a title match, folks because Here it is!
He gestured both hands at the ramp before sliding out of the ring again.
World Championship: Aleister Black vs Darby Allin

Darby Allin's theme, "Runnin outta places," started playing, and the former skater turned demon walked down the ramp. The crowd was split, but he didn't seem to care at all what the fans in attendance thought about him. He entered the ring, and sat down in the corner, holding on to the bottom rope with both hands, with his back against the turnbuckle post.
The lights all went out, giving way to Aleister Black. The dark figure stood from his coffin position with the magical ease he always did and made his way down the ramp and into the ring with the same ominous aura which always surrounded him. He rolled gracefully over the third rope and landed cross-legged in the middle of the ring, landing in front of his opponent with both hands on his knees.
Allin showed his three points to the referee, giving them away in exchange for his championship shot when he was asked to step to the center of the ring. In the same way, Aleister handed his championship to be set away and only brought back for whoever came out victorious from their encounter.
Darby Allin's unpredictable technique and daring moves took the champion by surprise more than one. He seemed to fling himself at Black and withstand enormous amounts of pain, everything he received, he took and got immediately back up, the toll seemed to be there, but it was slowly building, and the match seemed almost superhuman from both sides.
Allin's flexibility allowed him to escape the Black Mass once but didn't help the second time, where Aleister used his own momentum against him to double the strength of his kick, successfully retaining his championship. He stared at the laid out man with a somewhat confused face, wondering how could he have withstood so much punishment and still have enough strength to try to crawl to his feet such a short time after.
He didn't wait to find out, however, and walked up the ramp and out of view.
And that, my friends, was all she wrote! Let's hear it one more time for our champion!
Louden walked back up to the ring, already talking into his mic as he rolled back in to make it to center ring. The crowd was still wild and he was loving the reaction.
Thank you all for coming out and we hope to see you guys this Saturday, March 17th in New York, for our second Pay-Per-View: Into the Flames!
The music started playing again as the lights went dim.
