Phase Forty-Two: The Crawling Eye

c3d7f9135b73d0cbe665b4cbc81ee97f.png

Jimmy Havoc walked down the ramp at the start of the show, without much flash, just a black suit with a red tie, announcing his temporary state as the General Manager of the show while Mike recovered at home from the fracture he sustained recently.

It will be a very eventful month for everyone. I don't hold back, I will not coddle anyone. None of you are special and things are about to change around here. No more bending to all your little demands, no more cowering away from any brat champion who tries to take the rules and wipe Her ass with them.

How am I going to do it, you ask? By taking all those rules and throwing them out the window. I will make rules whenever I very well please, and I'll ignore them when it's convenient for me.

As long as we understand that you're all locked here with me for the entire month, I think you're going to do very well.

Let us begin, shall we?

He tossed the microphone over the third rope to be caught by one of the ring crew members and slid out from between the middle rope, taking a seat at the timekeeper's table, taking a headset from commentary to speak from his newfound spot.

Hania vs PJ Black (Lovers Quarrel Match. 6 second pin count.)

Despite Hania's reluctance, she got inside the ring and readied herself for the contest, and while PJ was a lot more doubtful and even refused to reciprocate the attack at the start, she was as hard on him as she was on all her other opponents.

The match was a highlight of vulnerability and athleticism from beginning to end, their chemistry visible from their initial hesitation to their final back and forth, finally it was Hania who got the upper hand.

She mouthed an apology as she landed on him with the Moonsault Hanialation for the six count, getting her first point for contention.

Priscilla Kelly vs Jinny (Falls count anywhere.)

Jinny walked really close to the timekeeper's table on her way to the ring, standing in front of Jimmy for a second, removing her mask and leaving it in front of him before climbing the apron. Priscilla followed the same path, having a quiet stare off with Jimmy, grinning before following her opponent inside the ring.

Without any disqualification rules, the two competitors went at each other from head to toe. Everything from hair, eyes, neck and closed fists was allowed, and they took advantage of it for as long as it lasted, enjoying the carnage.

Priscilla dragged Jinny closer to the general manager, slamming her head against the ring bell and letting her fall to the floor, the referee counting the pin right there on the bare concrete, all the ringside mats gone.

Killer Kelly vs Zack Sabre Jr. (First Blood)

With the announcement of the new management, Sabre seemed confused, but also slightly angry. Still he made his usual entrance, receiving a very polite applause from the general manager, accompanied by a smirk. Zack looked, but turned around from him again quickly, going to his corner to pretend that sarcastic reaction hadn't happened.

Kelly joined Zack in the ring, grinning her black grin with the mouth guard and ready to inflict some damage.

No weapons would be allowed in the match, but everything else was fair game, and thus the stipulations were set and the wrestlers readied themselves for a brutal competition.

They went toe to toe during their encounter, with Zack's holds not being of much help in this type of situation, he had to resort to using his fists, kicks and the turnbuckles to get the sturdy Kelly split open.

Sabre's eyebrow looked particularly swollen at the end of the match, and he struggled to see, but in the end, a well-placed enzuigiri to Kelly's jaw made her bite her tongue hard enough that her mouth started bleeding. But barely noticing it, she continued the match until the referee told her to stop, ending with both of them bloodied and brawling for a short moment until the winner was announced.

Will Ospreay vs Isla Dawn

As much history as Havoc and Ospreay had, there was no stipulation for this match, no tricks, no games. And it went on without a hitch, with Isla working the ring while Will worked the air.

A few kicks had brought Ospreay down to battle from the ground instead of the air, and with Isla's subtle removal of a turnbuckle cover, he'd lost one of the three vital pieces of his offence.

It seemed like it was all going the witch's way, until Will came back for her with the Stormbreaker, taking her down for the three count.

Pentagon Jr. vs Pavor Nox

The cleanser of evil came out first, ready to prove that he truly was the man without fear by facing fear itself, who waited in the ring for him already, head tilted towards Havoc, who looked particularly uncomfortable and pale during this match.

Pavor turned back to Pentagon, but unlike the rest of the matches he'd had, the undefeated master of fear couldn't find anything to bring Pentagon to his realm, and had to resort to his wrestling acumen to compete this time.

Despite how close the competition was, it was Pentagon who put down Pavor this time around, making sure to show him he had no power over him and his game of terrorising the roster had come to an end.

This victory meant the loss of Pavor's four points and Pentagon's third point for championship contention.

Allysin Kay vs Charlie Morgan (PCW Championship)

Despite how unhappy Allysin had been last show with the interim GM, this time she had no chance of protesting, as she stepped in the ring to meet Charlie Morgan. No special rules for her match, everything working just as usual. She was probably a little paranoid throughout the first half, but slowly loosened up when nobody showed up to interfere in her match, when nobody was there to challenge her or talk about her on commentary.

The match was as strong as expected, and Fire Ant was at ring side, cheering on for Charlie, who came very close to a pin count twice, but didn't manage to capitalise.

Just when it seemed like it was all over, and we'd hear "And New...!" Allysin raised both her knees to receive Morgan's moonsault, putting her in a bow and arrow and holding it until Charlie's hand wouldn't raise anymore.
