PCW Phase Thirty-Three: The Chamber of Secrets
UIC Pavilion
Isla Dawn vs Charlie Morgan
The match started in a very classic fashion, a lockup, an armdrag, and then the punches started flying, the acrobatics, the death-defying jumps. Isla and Charlie were going toe to toe through the whole match, keeping up with the other's technique and trying to surpass the other where they could.
Unfortunately, the match came to an abrupt end when the dimension jumper Judas Scream appeared in several different spots of the arena, showing up at the center of the ring, the top of the turnbuckle, the ramp, ringside, the apron... All images like ghosts of his match against Isla.
The distraction worked well enough that Charlie, despite being a little weirded out by the apparitions, was able to roll Isla up for a three count. And both Isla and Charlie were able to see the five ghostly figures merge together to form a clapping Judas Scream standing right at ringside, teasing the witch with a sarcastic kiss blown her way.
Flash Morgan Webster vs Zack Sabre Jr.
Despite Taeler not being on his corner this time, Flash exuded a smell of pheromones, as if he'd been supercharged before the match to ensure his victory. Zack covered his nose, shaking his head to avoid getting intoxicated by the sudden scent. The Modfather entered confident and ready, but didn't count on Zack's technical prowess actually putting all his supernatural abilities to the test.
He had to break free from Sabre's holds with all his might but also had to crawl towards the ropes to break them. Little by little, the pheromones started to wear off during the exhausting match and escaping Sabre became more and more difficult to do.
With the last of his strength, he kept Zack down the same way he'd done it with Frankie, landing a 630 splash on him and pressing him against the mat to pin him with pure brute force.
Zack kept moving under Flash, his shoulders remained pinned to the mat, but once the count was done and Flash had let out some of the pressure from the other man, Sabre launched at him, hitting him relentlessly, putting the Modfather into a painful looking armbar, which took several referees to break.
Jenny Blake vs Priscilla Kelly
With the promise of dragging her into the light, and Priscilla's threat of bringing her to the darkness, Jenny was more than determined to come out on the winning end of this. She came in with her red cape blowing behind her when she ran down the ramp, but when she leaned on the ropes, the already prepared Priscilla jumped straight on her, grabbing her cape and tugging at it to attempt to strangle her with it right against the ropes.
The match hadn't even started yet, but thanks to the referee and to Jenny's quick knot, La chica dinamita managed to escape from the choking attempt and was now kneeling on the floor, coughing and holding her throat, a red line on her skin.
Kelly barely waited for her to recover, just giving her time to stand up before throwing herself at her with a tope suicida and landing over Blake with a Lou Thesz press, fists flying right to the face of the unsuspecting and still breathless luchadora.
After many attempts to get them inside the ring, the referee decided to rule out the match as a no-contest, but that didn't stop Priscilla from dragging Jenny to the ring, laying her down with a piledriver and taking her time with leaving a bite mark on her neck, dropping her on the canvas right after, getting up and leaving, a small thread of blood running down her chin.
Ashley Vox & Jawsolyn vs Rachael Ellering & Shaul Guerrero
The four women met in the ring, both pairs seeming to be in sync with their partner. There was a small disagreement between Rachel and Shaul as the legacies agreed on Shaul starting the match for their side. On the other, the ladies of the deep came to an unspoken agreement and Ashley stepped to the center of the ring, looking not just confident but Ready.
The start of the match was fast paced and hard-hitting, the two women each giving as good as they got and showing how unwilling they both were to back down from one another. On the outside, Jawsolyn leaned over the turnbuckle, trying to get Ashley's attention to tag her in when she took a particularly hard hit. She held her ground for just a little longer but when Shaul knocked her back toward her own corner, she took the opportunity and tagged in the shark.
Jawsolyn, while not as aggressive as Ashley still put on a good show. Shaul didn't last long against her before tagging in Rachel who came in hot. She was on Jawsolyn the moment she was under the ropes and she took the sea star off her feet with a brutal spear. The shark barely had time to recover but managed to get in just a hit before she was lifted onto Rachel's shoulders and taken out with a TKO. The three-count was over before Ashley could rush into the ring to interrupt. Shaul rushed in to stand with her partner and the two walked out, satisfied with their new ownership of three points and the chance to challenge for the tag team titles.
Jinny vs Sierra Loxton (PCW Women's Champion Match)
The Fashionista and the Freaky Princess faced off in the center of the ring. A sneer pulled at Jinny's face, showing her disdain for her frosty opponent.
While at first the pair appeared evenly matched, Jinny was forced to go on the offense, recoiling from the chill of the Blonde's frozen skin. Sierra spread her arms and rushed the dark-haired diva, ready to lift her for a fatal finisher.
Jinny kicked and elbowed her way out of it and with a scream of pure spite and rage put the princess down with a rainmaker, practically daring her to get back up.
Jinny rose from the cover, kicking Sierra one more time for good measure before chastising the ref until he rose her hand in victory.
Allysin Kay vs Taeler Hendrix (With Jay Lethal) (PCW Championship Match)
Despite Taeler's "Bodacious" comments and Allysin's constant championship defences, which had her with shoulders, elbow and one knee taped, the match started as strong as everyone had anticipated it would. The poison princess relentlessly targetted AK's right arm, aiming for it with her knees, elbows, with her head and with every hold she could think of.
Just as Taeler had promised in her promos, Allysin screamed in pain, trying desperately to reach the ropes, to roll out of the ring. And from the announcers' table, all of Taeler's moves were justified, just as it was justified for her companion, three-point holder Jay Lethal to be there at ringside (even on the apron from time to time).
Obstacles, tricks, referee distractions and all, Allysin still came out victorious from her match, though Jay and a barely-recovered Flash Morgan Webster didn't let her catch her breath, attacking her on behalf of Taeler while the poison princess edged them on to soften her up for their match at Cruel Summer.
