PCW Live: The Cat in the Hat
We can have Lots of good fun that is funny!

A camera approached Melissa who was sitting down on a production crate backstage. She had a bandage wrapped around her back due to the cuts she had from the barbed wire and the holes in her back after having the staples removed. People backstage thought she was crazy for coming back the next week after such a brutal deathmatch against her boyfriend, but she didn’t care what others thought. She wanted to compete the next week but doctors suggested she waited for her wounds to heal before she stepped back into the ring. She had her head down, the camera panned down to see the Future Phoenix Championship in her hands. She had a firm grasp on the belt as the camera panned back up to her as she slowly lifted her head up. She had a smirk on her face as she began to speak.
“It’s crazy how things happen around here. Last year was a huge year for me here in Pheonix Championship Wrestling. My battle with Bray Wyatt to try and bring Sami back to me, my disappearance from the company after Sami was killed only to come back with a brand new attitude, winning Breakout Star of the Year of 2019, feuding with Sami to prove just how much I loved him, and now I’m the Future Pheonix Champion.”
“Nobody, not even I, saw this coming. I’ve said since the beginning that I never cared about being champion, I just wanted to kick ass and leave my mark. My attitude has changed now that I’m holding this championship in my hands. It’s not just a championship to me, it’s proof that I’ve fought my ass off to get where I am right now.”
“I have all I’ll ever need. I have the best job in the world, I have the title, and best of all I have the love of my life back by my side. With that being said, I’m going to be a fighting champion. I’ll take on anybody who is willing to step up to the plate because there is nothing, there is nobody in this building that I’m afraid of. I went through hell and back to get to where I am right now and people said it was going to kill me but yet here I am alive, breathing, and on top. I challenge anyone in PCW to come after me, but you better be prepared for the fight of your life because there is no way I’m letting this championship go.”

Brian Pillman Jr. vs Finn Balor

Brian makes his way to the ring, ready to take on his mystery challenger. However, before he can make it down the ramp, a hooded figure clobbers him from behind. The figure stomps on the back before yanking Pillman up and slinging him into the barricade. The fans are booing the attacked mercilessly, but it didn’t compare to the damage he was delivering to the young star. Brian tried to stand, but the figure kicked him in the gut before finally removing his hood...
... Finn Balor?! Balor wastes no time dragging Brian to the ring, tossing him in. As he climbs the apron, Pillman races to his feet and knocks Finn back to the floor. Brian looks to springboard to the outside but stops short as Finn backs away. Pillman remains on the apron, staring down Finn we the Irishman points his fingers at the rookie, taking aim at his very first target in PCW.
Allysin Kay vs Natalya

The two women collide on the outside before the bell can even start. Natalya attacks Kay from behind on the ramp, slinging her into the barricade. Natalya retrieves a chair from ringside and swings the steel down onto the back of Kay to keep her down to the floor. The fans are livid, booing Natalya as she may have just cut their match short. The blonde forces Allysin to her feet, looking for a DDT, but Frankie comes racing out and shoves Natalya off of Kay. “What is wrong with you?!” Natalya backs up a bit, letting Kay breathe before trying rush in with another attack.
Frankie forces her back again and picks up the chair as a warning. Natalya stays back and calls for a mic. “Why are you protecting her? She wanted a match and I’m giving her one! She wants to act all tough and bad, but we all know Allysin can’t back up what she says.” Frankie snatches the mic from her.
“You attacked her from behind like a coward twice now. I don’t know what your problem is, but if you’re going to act like that during my title match? Don’t come out there at all.” Natalya’s jaw drops a bit as Frankie just banned her tag partner from ringside.
“Frankie, you can’t—“ she doesn’t get it all out as Kay spears her to the floor, throwing shots into the face and torso. Frankie steps back as security is racing in to separate them. Kay wasn’t nearly finished with her, but Natalya crawled up the ramp and got to the stage to keep from Allysin. She glares at Frankie before making her way backstage.

Atwell with Adam Cole

Hayley stands in front of the camera with a wide smile as the show continues. “Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time made his debut last week against three other competitors. Unfortunately, he came up short, but we have him here today to speak on how he’s going to move forward. My guest at this time is none other than the undisputed Adam Cole.” The camera cuts to Adam, but he looked furious as he stared Hayley down.
“I did not come up short. What happened is that Phil Jackal took advantage of my hard work and stole my victory from me. I was seconds away from taking out Jon Moxley and winning my first match in PCW. I’m not one for excuses, but I :know: in a one-on-one match, I would have been victorious.”
“How do you plan to move forward in PCW? This place isn’t for the faint of heart and oftentimes, even our strongest competitors fall short when the pressure is added on.” Cole starts to laugh.
“Did you just compare me to the rest of these idiots? I am undisputed... That means I’m the very best that PCW has ever seen. I’m the best this business has ever seen and I can prove it next week.”
“Is that right, Bay-Bay?” An unfamiliar voice claims from the other side of Hayley. The woman turns her mic to the new figure and the camera pans out to reveal Kenny Omega. “I haven’t had my debut match just yet, buuuut if you’re eager to have another go at proving yourself to PCW? Why not choose me as your proctor? I’m just as eager to show this company why The Cleaner is considered one of the very best competitors in the world. I don’t need to mouth off to an innocent interviewer because I couldn’t get it done. I’d rather just go out there and fix my mistakes, but that’s something only a real man would do.”
Adam tenses up as Kenny suggests he isn’t a man. He takes a step towards Omega and Hayley backs away in case something goes down. Cole managed to refrain from striking Kenny where he stood as Omega leaned in just a bit. “Are you a man or a whiney, little boy?” Omega backs away and leaves the scene with Cole seething in front of the camera. He glances at Hayley before storming off in the other direction.
“Thank you for your time...” she mumbles.

Phil Jackal vs Jimmy Havoc

Jimmy tries to put up a fight, but Phil proved to be too quick to get a good handle on. It was only when Jackal slipped on the ropes could Havoc capitalize by kicking them. Jackal drops on the midsection and Havoc drops him with a DDT from the ropes. He covers Phil for a two-count pin. Jimmy yanks him up, looking for the suplex, but Jackal lands onto his feet and counters with a neckbreaker. He looks to springboard from the ropes with a moonsault, but Jimmy gets the knees up.
Phil stands and Havoc quickly takes him out with a boot to the chest. Jackal rolls into the ropes and Havoc chokes him out on the bottom rope until the count of four. As Jackal tries to catch his breath, Jimmy races in for another boot. Phil rolls out the way and catches Havoc with the backbreaker from the middle ropes. Phil goes up high and lands the 450 Splash to cover Havoc for the winning pinfall. Phil earned himself the tenth point needed to challenge Scarlett.
Priscilla Kelly & Vipress vs Corvus & Austin Aries

Corvus and Austin await their opponents, but the two women didn’t come out alone. A third woman led them down to the ring. Both men were enthralled as the woman swayed her hips, gaze penetrating their very soul. Corvus was especially entranced and was frozen still as Vipress and Priscilla entered the ring. The bell rings, but it takes a sudden boot to the face from Vipress to knock him out of it. Even Austin was caught by surprised as the two former friends battle it out in the center of the ring.
He tried to keep an eye on this mystery woman as she whispered in Kelly’s ear at ringside. He’d gaze suddenly fell on him again and he was frozen, unable to realize Corvus needed to tag out. By the time she freed him from his gaze, Corvus was planted with a half-Nelson suplex. She covers him for a two-count. Aries tries to tag in, but Vipress drags him to her corner for Kelly. She stomps on the man’s chest before helping Vipress set him up for a double gut buster. She gets another two count on Corvus.
Priscilla kept control until Corvus managed to counter a clothesline into a neckbreaker. He crawls to Aries to tag him, but just as Austin steps into the ring? The silver-haired woman locked eyes with him. He stood still, unable to break her gaze. He ate a dropkick to the chest from Kelly and the woman quickly yanks him up for a snap suplex into a pin. He kicks out at one. Austin blocks an oncoming kick and counters into the Boston Crab submission. As he wrenches on the legs, the woman climbs the apron. She whispers something to Vipress and the witch waved her hand momentarily. The lights went out and the arena was covered in darkness.
Aries felt some crash against the back of his head before his chest was nearly caved in by something heavy. As the lights came back on, he was no longer in the arena, but in the underground temple. Corvus was on top of him, unconscious. All three women surrounded them, chanting in unison. The mystery woman had her eyes locked on him and he couldn’t move. He couldn’t will himself to push Corvus off him. The pentagram they drew made a white light and he could feel his very being splitting apart, just like Vipress had attempted before. This time, he couldn’t escape. He felt like his heart would be ripped from his very chest. A burning pain seared his chest and his ribs felt as if they were being crushed under some invisible weight. He saw Corvus’s body also changing, seeming to be torn apart by the pure power of this spell. The changing grew louder, filled his head, screamed over his own thoughts. The mystery woman’s face burned into his mind and he started to holler in pain.
As Aries tosses and turns in the center of the ring, Vipress picked up Corvus’s unconscious body and carted him off, no longer concerned with the tag match. The three women made their way up the ramp with the unfamiliar one stopping just short of the ramp to look back at Aries. She smiled as his body contorted painfully and followed the two women out of the arena.
Tyler Breeze vs Spike Trivet (With Zara Sabre)

Breeze locks up with Trivet and the two men struggle for control. Zara looks on from the outside as Trivet gets the wristlock. He flips Tyler onto his back and bends the arm back behind him. Trivet proceeds to drop the knee into the bent arm and go for a quick cover. Zara claps for Trivet as he yanks Breeze up by the arm and follows up with a kneebuster to it, further causing damage. Tyler tries to shake the pain away as he crawls into the ropes. Spike races in, but misses the knee strike and Breeze rolls him up. Spike kicks out at two.
Tyler gets the dropkick and tries to run the ropes, but Zara grabs the leg for a split second. It’s enough for Spike to send him over the ropes with a clothesline. Breeze lands on the apron and Spike grabs the arm through the middle ropes to yank it down. Tyler rolls off onto the floor, trying to create distance. Spike is after him and has him up by the hair before Breeze gets the forearm with the hurt arm. Tyler proceeds with a chop to the chest before springboarding off the barricade with a heel kick. He sends Spike back into the ring for another two count.
As Tyler tries to go up high, Zara is on the apron and Spike gets behind him with a German suplex from the top. He covers Breeze. One...two...t—Tyler kicks out. Trivet has him up on his shoulders, but Breeze hangs onto the ropes and knees him in the face. Breeze escapes from behind and rolls up Trivet again. One...two....three! Tyler gets the victory and celebrates as Spike is on the mat devastated. Zara enters the ring to console him, but he was not having any of that. He shoves her back, but as she tried to console him again, Spike gave her a hateful expression. He drew his hand back struck the woman down to the mat. Everyone, including Tyler, was stunned. They weren’t in a match and she posed no threat to him. Trivet rolls out of the ring and leaves Sabre on her own in disbelief.

I will hold you up high as I stand on a ball with a book on one hand! And a cup on my hat!

Scarlett Bordeaux stands in the ring with a mic in hand the championship around her waist. The crowd are mixed between cheers and boos as she leans against the ropes with a bored look on her face. “Alright, Sami. Here I am and I’m waiting. If you got something to say to me, you need to say it right now. I’ve got a husband to get home to with all the TLC a girl could possibly need...so hurry the Hell up.”
She waits along with the crowd. Moments pass before the titantron begins to static. Bordeaux rolls her eyes as Sami appears on the screen in an undisclosed room. He raises a brow as she starts to laugh. “Not this shit again. I already dealt with this when Pavor and Spike thought some hocus pocus bullshit would stop me from being champion. Can I please get something new?” Callihan laughs off her complaints before his face becomes stoic within the next second.
“This is some intimidation tactic, Scarlett. I’m not here to try to scare you. In fact, I’m here to make a challenge. See now that the Future Phoenix title is no longer in my possession, I’m free to do what I please. It’s been a while since I’ve been near that PCW Championship and I’m starting to miss how it feels, how it tastes, and how good it looked around my waist than yours... I used to be the one to beat in this company after capturing the title for the very first time. It was short-lived, but damn did it feel good to be on top. Now I know I don’t have any points...yet... Buuuuut there’s no harm in a non-title challenge, right?”
Bordeaux doesn’t say anything, staring down the screen with a hardened expression. “You wanna makes wrestling sexy again, but there’s nothing sexy about Sami Callihan and his means of winning. If you step into that ring with me next week, Scarlett, I can promise you that things will get pretty damn ugly. Uglier than this mug, I can tell you that much.” Sami chuckles and the screen statics once more before he reappears.
“The connection is bad in this joint. You should tell your husband to upgrade his internet plan.”
Scarlett’s look of confusion changes to horror and rage as the camera follows Sami through her own home. He had made himself comfortable in their bedroom, knocking over one of the couple photos they had to decorate the room. Callihan makes his way back to the main room, kicking over a small table with a lamp placed on top. Bordeaux kicks at the ropes as Sami exits the house, keeping the door cracked. His grin was visible through it and he chuckles as he slowly closes the door.
“First warning, bitch. The second comes next week.”

Heart of Phoenix Championship Match
Arisa Hoshiki vs Frankie Valentine (With Natalya)
Arisa Hoshiki vs Frankie Valentine (With Natalya)

Arisa locks up with Frankie, getting the armdrag takedown before looking for the armbar. Valentine quickly rolls through and gets Arisa on her shoulders before standing, looking for a slam. Hoshiki lands on her feet as runs the ropes only to leapfrog over Frankie. She rebounds for the crossbody, but Frankie catches her. She tries for the military press, but Arisa escapes and goes for the suplex from behind. Valentine gets the roll-up and the referee counts to two before Arisa kicks out. Both women kip-up to their feet and stare each other down as the crowd cheers them on.
They lock up again and Frankie gets the side headlock and tries for a takedown. Hoshiki struggles to escape, eventually getting the head scissors. Valentine kips up out of it, but Arisa sweeps the leg and gets the double foot stomp to the torso to slow down her opponent. She rebounds off the ropes and quickly gets the sliding kick to the chest for a quick cover. Frankie kicks out at one. Arisa pulls her up by the arm and looks for a springboard attack, but Frankie catches her from behind and uses the momentum to drop her on her neck with a suplex. Arisa is dazed as Valentine quickly runs the ropes for a dropkick to the chest. The champion rolls out onto the apron and Frankie keeps control with a dropkick to send her to the floor.
The referee starts the count and Arisa is slow to get to her feet. As Frankie allows her time to recuperate, Natalya comes storming out with a kendo stick. “You think you can just abandon me?!” Natalya shrieks. “After all I’ve done to help you?” She then swings the stick down on Arisa to cause the disqualification. She continues to attack Hoshiki and Valentine quickly races out of the ring to defend her. Natalya wastes no time clobbering Frankie with the stick and beating her down into the floor. She focuses on hurting Arisa once again. The arena was filled with boos, but sudden cheers erupt as Jenny comes racing down the ramp with a steel chair.
Natalya tries to use the stick, but Blake counters with the chair and knocks out her hand. Jenny swings at Natalya, but she manages to narrowly dodge the attack. She retreats back up the ramp as Blake demands a mic. “Whatever is going on between you and Frankie doesn’t involve my friend. If you think I’m going to let you get away with attacking Arisa, you’re out of your mind! If you’re so tough, fight me next week and prove it.” The fans cheer that on, but a familiar force cuts them off rather quickly.
“Espera un momento, wait a minute!” Taya yells into the microphone as she steps past Natalya on the stage. “I leave for a couple of weeks and you prove to me that you don’t know how to act, as per usual.”
She flips her hair as the crowd starts to boo her, but she gives off a wide grin while she brought the mic to her lips. “I’ve made a fast recovery and how I’m more than ready to begin my role as the new C-E-O of P-C-W! So first order of business—Natalya already has a match next week. Hoshiki agreed to face her and Natalya has the necessary points...so that match will happen. As for you, Blake, since you sooooo badly need to insert yourself into matches despite me clearly telling you to stay away and rest...you can have a match, too. Against who? Haven’t decided yet. After that, if you’re still feeling unresolved anger against Nattie, you’re free to face her...but given the look on Frankie’s face right now? You might have to fight her for first dibs...”
Taya shrugged her shoulders and turned to walk away, but stopped herself short. “Oh and Arisa? That title match will be a submission only match. ¡Buena suerte!” Taya gives all the women a little wave before practically skipping on her way out of the arena, leaving them all to exchange glances of fury and caution as the show comes to an end.
