Austin Aries vs Brian Pillman Jr.

m1.png

Coloured lights flared for a moment and music hit. Right on cue, Brian Pillman Jr came into view. He slapped hands with a few fans and did a whole loop around the ring before he slid into the ropes. He looked ready for a brawl and paced the ring once, eager to put his opponent in his place.

White lights tracked and after several elongated seconds, Austin Aries entered, taking his time. His arms outstretched, a condescending smile on his face and he turned for the audience, cocky as ever. It looked like he was never going to actually enter the ring.

Brian wasn't willing to wait any longer and flew out of the ring, taking Austin off his feet. The crowd was losing their minds shouting. The fight between them was vicious and cutthroat before the bell even rung. Austin finally got the official fight to start by throwing Pillman into the ring.

The whole first half of the match Pillman was holding in there, going blow for blow with Aries but The Truth started to overpower him. He looked nearly beaten down but rallied at the last minute and managed to hit Austin with the Sleeping Hero German Suplex that looked like it took the last of his strength.

The three-count was over before Aries could do anything about it but as soon as it sunk in he looked Furious. He made a grab for Pillman and the ref separated. He was screaming at the man for his call, pounded his fists on a turnbuckle and rolled out of the ring, snapping back at fans when they yelled at him.

Pillman looked unaffected and leaned on the ropes while Aries tore out monitor and threw it, pounded a fist on the table, then shaking, grabbed a mic from the announced table he'd just pummeled. "That's it. If I can't even beat you..." He looked around at the mess he'd made. "I can't keep doing this. I need time. When I get back, I'll be BACK better than ever but right now... I'm not the man I should be and until I am... I'll be seeing you." He tossed the mic and stalked off.
Marty Scurll & Kyle O'Reilly vs Corvus & Vipress
Dual Phoenix Championship Match

m2.png

The two teams collide in the ring with Vipress getting the best of Kyle with a headlock. Marty has Corvus by the wrist and whips him into Vipress to free his partner. Both men work together to dropkick the champions down to the mat. They roll out of the ring to avoid the challengers and recuperate, but both men slide out of the ring on opposite sides and race in to corner them. The champions duck and the men collide with a double clothesline. Corvus quickly goes to work on Marty with stomps to the chest as Vipress drags Kyle to the steel steps. She slams the leg against the steel multiple times before wedging it between the steps and ring post. Kyle was stuck as Vipress pulled off some ornament decorations from the ring. She slammed the ornaments against his abdomen, laughing as they shatter painfully against the skin.

Corvus has Marty by the headlock, trying to squeeze the life out of him, but Scurll shoved him forward into the barricade and followed up with a clothesline into the crowd. Scurll goes after Corvus, forcing the young man to crawl away to distance himself. Marty grabs the nearest trash can and slams it on the back. Trash goes everywhere as Corvus drops to the floor, enduring every strike of the bin to his body. Marty then drops the bin on his head to slow Corvus down even more before dragging him back to the barricade. Marty has him up and drops his back on the edge with a suplex. The champion falls back onto the floor at ringside and Scurll leaps over for the pin. One...two...—Corvus kicks out. Marty has him up and Corvus shoves him back into the ring post before swinging his fists wildly. He knees Marty into the gut multiple times before slamming the back of the head into the post. Marty slumps to the floor and Corvus focuses his attention on his partner.

Kyle was fighting back against Vipress and caught her with a roundhouse. She drops to her knees and he connects with a scissors kick to the head. He hooks the leg, but Corvus is on him to break it up. Corvus tries to sling him into the ring, but Kyle reverses and knees the gut. The challenger gets to the apron and races forward for a kick to the chest, but Corvus catches it and trips him up. Corvus holds him in place as Vipress stands and she races in with a running knee to the face. Kyle slumps on the apron and Corvus follows up with a hanging spinning neckbreaker from the apron to the floor. Corvus covers him, but he kicks out at two. Vipress wants to end this, but as she looks for the Sinner’s Snap, Marty charges in with a ladder suddenly and knocks them both down.

He slams the ladder down on top of them to keep them grounded as he smacks Kyle until the man woke up. He helped his partner to his feet and the two quickly double stomp the ladder down onto the champions. They then pushed the ladder off to hook both champions’ legs. One...two—both of them kick out! Kyle has Corvus up and slings the man into the ring as Scurll looks to take care of Vipress. She manages to block a forearm and sending him into the barricade. Corvus couldn’t do the same as Kyle whips him into the corner and races in with a big boot. The champion drops to the mat for the cover, but Vipress drags Kyle out the ring for multiple shots to the chest. She slams his face into the apron and follows up with a German suplex on top of the ladder. Kyle was still.

Corvus slips out of the ring and pulls a chair out. He sets it up and yanks up Marty from the floor. Vipress takes control and drops the man’s head onto the chair with the Sinner’s Snap DDT. Marty lies still against the chair and Vipress rolls him over for the pin. One...two...three! The champions retain their titles. That wasn’t enough for them, though, and soon Kyle and Marty were thrown into the ring. She tosses the ladder in and Corvus starts piling up chairs on top of them. Soon the champions has both men trapped. Vipress drops Marty onto the pile with the DDT again as Corvus repeatedly slams Kyle onto the pile until he sees blood. Only then does he back off, grinning as he licks the crimson liquid from his fingertips.
Priscilla Kelly vs Melissa Santos
Heart of Phoenix Championship
Santa's Little Helper Match

m3.png

Melissa and Kelly lock up with PK getting the advantage with a wristlock. Taeler watches over the match with a careful eye, occasionally glaring at Priscilla. The champion yanks the hair to slam Melissa down and Hendrix was on her in seconds about it. Priscilla paid no attention, focusing on Melissa with a stomp to the arm. She pressed down on the elbow, making Santos squirm as Taeler looked for a tap out. Melissa refused to quit and Kelly made her back with the bend of her arm over the back. Santos screamed in agony as Kelly was trying to rip the arm off, but Melissa still did not quit. Priscilla has her up from behind, trying to rake the eyes, but Melissa fights back.

She elbows Kelly back and quickly drops her with a sit-out jawbreaker. She created some distance with a dropkick that sent Kelly to the outside. Taeler immediately started the count, going twice as fast as usual, and Kelly slips back in by the count of six. She stares Taeler down as the redhead smirks back at her. She doesn’t see Santos racing in with a forearm to the face. Kelly is backed against the ropes and whipped across the ring for a huracarrana. Kelly is dazed as she stands and Melissa gets the step-up enzuigiri to have her stumbling back into the corner. Santos goes in for the monkey flip, but Kelly catches her in the air and slams the back onto the turnbuckle.

Priscilla connects with a palm strike to the throat before setting Santos up high. She steps onto the apron and climbs the ropes, hooking the head for a cutter off the top. Both women crash to the mat and Hendrix starts the count. Priscilla manages to crawl into the cover, but Taeler is slow to drop down and even slower to count, making Santos kick out at one. Kelly has had enough, stepping up to Taeler and shoving the woman back. Hendrix wastes no time slapping her sister across the face and it was all-out war from there.

Both women went at it, scratching and pulling at each other’s hair and gear. Taeler eventually gets the palm strike and takes Kelly down with the scorpion kick to the face. Santos wastes no time capitalizing with a pin and Taeler makes the fast count, but Kelly still shoulders out at two. Melissa has her up, looking for the tornado DDT, but Priscilla uses her power to counter into a suplex and tosses Melissa into the corner. Priscilla quickly rolls out the ring, retrieving the championship and shaking her head. She had enough, but Hendrix didn’t. The redhead goes racing down the ramp and spears Kelly to the ground, slamming her head down multiple times. As the two women brawl, other referees and security have to pull them apart, escorting them both from the arena.

The brawl didn’t stop there, however, because Taeler broke free and took Kelly down again backstage. Priscilla escapes and tries her best to create some distance. She raced into the locker room, but just as Taeler gained on her, she shoves the door back into the face to stun her. Hendrix’s nose was bleeding and she didn’t see Kelly coming with superkick to the face. Taeler drops to the floor and Kelly laughs with malicious glee. She blew Taeler a kiss before making her exit, but this rivalry was far from done and it showed as Hendrix glared after Kelly with a hateful stare. The calm demeanour was shattered and all that was left in its wake was a woman scorned.

X-Mas Match

m4.png

Rhea dominated the start of the match, and quickly found that her opponent wasn't going to go down easily. The blonde drags her into the corner and begins chopping away at the chest before headbutting her. Ivelisse is dazed as she sits her up on the turnbuckle. Velez quickly kicks her back before standing. She leaps off with a dropkick to the chest. Rhea is up quick, but misses the clothesline.

Ivelisse springboards off the ropes with a moonsault and takes her down to the mat with a pin. She powers out at one, but Velez quickly transitions into the Muta Lock. Rhea is in the dead center of the ring, but rather than tap, Ripley digs deep to crawl and grab the ropes. Ivelisse wrenches in, but she kicks her square in the nose and trips up the legs for a heel lock.

Ivelisse fights tooth and nail for the ropes, to get some leverage and escape. Rhea is up and grabs her up only for Velez to connect with a backhand strike. She goes for the finisher again, yet Rhea reacts with a big boot as he goes for the handspring. She quickly plants her with the Riptide and transitions it into the standing cloverleaf, making Velez tap.

Wrestler vs Wrestler
Naughty or Nice Present Bash Match

m5.png

Black attacks MJF before he can fully get into the ring, kneeing the man in the face repeatedly as he’s stuck between the ropes. The champion quickly plants him with a cradle DDT. Aleister doesn’t go for the pin, but instead he carefully steps on one of MJF’s hands, crushing it against the mat. Maxwells wails in pain, trying to pull away, until Black swiftly kicks him across the face. Maxwell is dazed, rolling over and shaking his head as Black rolls out the ring. The champion grabbed the leg and dragged MJF out with him. He slings the man into the steel steps before picking up one of the present boxes and slamming it into the face.

Black then unwraps the same box to pull out a metal bar. Friedman slowly stands, but his leg is struck with the bar. He hobbled away around the steps to create some distance as Black takes his time in following him. He tilts his head to one side, stopping at ringside as Maxwell slides in the ring. A vein sprouted in his neck as he tried to regain composure. Friedman used the opportunity to connect with a baseball slide. Aleister is knocked of balance and the challenger takes control by shoving him into the barricade. MJF quickly tears open a present and retrieves brass knuckles. He grins as he places them on and begins to box Black in the abdomen over and over again. Even as the champion slumped to the ground, he connected each fist with the face until Aleister was down. MJF lifts his head as he kneels down, smirking as Black was dazed before a final shot bust the champion’s lip. Blood drips from his mouth as he slumps to the ground.

MJF has him up and sends him into the ring for the pin. One...two—Black kicks out. Friedman clubs the back with his forearm and pulls Black up by the arm before whipping him into the ropes for a clothesline. The champion drops hard to the mat and rolls into the ropes to recuperate. He slowly stands as MJF tries another shot with the knuckles. Aleister thinks fast and connects with a kick to the attacking arm. He quickly follows up with an enzuigiri to stun his opponent. Black wastes no time kicking Maxwell back in the chest before stomping down on the arm with the knuckle. He removes the weapon and chuckles as he licks the blood away from his lips. Black then tosses the knuckle aside and has MJF up to his feet to whip into the corner. He charges and the challenger lifts him up over the ropes. Black lands on his feet, but MJF sweeps the legs to drop his back on the apron.

MJF proceeds to step out onto the apron and capitalize. He grabs the legs, but Black fights him back. He kicks MJF off and lifts the legs around the neck in order to swing the shoulder into the post with a huracarrana. Black rolls off the apron and gets to his feet just as Friedman tries to crawl away. He races up behind him and takes the legs, but Maxwell kicks him off. He’s on his feet and chops the chest hard to stun back before connecting with a facebuster to the knee. Black drops to one knee and Maxwell slams a present box into his face now. The champion is down as Maxwell opens up the box, only to be met with a jack-in-a-box that fires off coal dust into his face. The man is blinded as the jack laughs in its box. Black has time to recuperate as Maxwell tries to clear his eyes. The champion gets to his feet and gets behind Friedman for suplex.

MJF elbows him back repeatedly before swinging wildly and misses as he’s still blinded. Black spears him down to the floor and starts throwing fist after fist down onto him in a blind rage unlike any we’ve seen from him before. His behavior was more erratic and violent, slamming the head back into the ground. MJF goes still as Aleister slowly stands to his feet. He tears open another present, but only coal filled the box. He laughs before dumping every piece of coal onto his opponent before stomping on the chunks. They crack and break against Friedman’s body, leaving a black smudge in various areas. The champion looks around for the metal bar he had, but as he came back to Friedman, the man kicks the leg out from under him. Maxwell connects with a running knee and slings Aleister into the barricade. He wipes the remaining dust from his face and grabs the bar, swinging it into the chest.

Black chokes, gasping for air as the wind was knocked out of him. MJF puts the bar around his neck to choke him. Black struggles to set himself free, losing air each passing second. MJF was hellbent on passing him out before sealing the deal, but Black slowly gets to his feet. Maxwell kicks him in the back and swings the bar against the head to keep him down. He unwraps another gift and discovers a box of Christmas lights. Friedman wastes no time unravelling the lights and whips Black on his back and legs with the decoration. The champion howls in pain as MJF lines his body with bruises and cuts from broken glass and the cord. The challenger sends Black back into the ring and proceeds to wrap the cord around the neck to choke him again. Black immediately reacts by sliding under the legs and tripping up Maxwell.

He quickly rebounds off the ropes for a running knee to stun him before connecting with a suplex for the pin. One...two...—MJF kicks ou, but Black transitions into the Rings of Saturn. Maxwell hollered in pain and panicked, dragging himself to the ropes to slip out onto the apron. Black looks for the kick, but Maxwell ducks and tries the forearm. Black blocks it and gets the Fade to Black to send Friedman to the floor. He rolls out and tries to send MJF in, but the man was still trying to fight despite how dazed he was. Black forearms him and looks for another suplex, but Friedman counters into a neckbreaker. Both men lie still until the count of six and Maxwell slowly stands first. He unwraps another gift and finds a sharpened star decoration for Christmas trees. Friedman drags it along his back, cutting the skin open. Black starts to bleed as he grits his teeth in agony.

MJF forces him on his knees just to slash at the chest and abdomen. The more he cut, however, the more it fed into Black’s fury until he grabs the arm tight in mid-action. MJF tried to pull back, but Aleister slowly stood to his feet and kicks MJF hard in the face while still holding the arm. MJF is too dazed to dodge a fireman’s carry into a slam on the apron. MJF lies still and Black rolls him in for the pin. One...two...three... Aleister retains the title, but he looked unsatisfied. He wiped the blood on his chest and stared at it on his fingertips before looking down at MJF. Black rolls out, retrieves his ring jacket before climbing back in. He pulls the knife he’s been carrying for a while from its pocket and immediately started slashing away at MJF. The referee was on him in seconds and was cut in the arm in the process.

Maxwell rolls away, trying to crawl out of the ring, but took a jab right in the thigh. He hollers in pain as security races out and is on the champion in seconds. He cuts at the air until a guard snatched the knife from. “I WILL KILL THEM ALL!” He screeches at the top of his lungs repeatedly. “It tells me to do it. It tells me and I will do it!” He growls, now biting the guard who held him back on his ear. There was no choice, but to knock him out from behind with a swift strike from one of the guards. The champion goes limp and is carried out as paramedics check on MJF.

Rise of Phoenix Championship
Gingerbread Cage Match

m6.png

As soon as the bell rings, Bordeaux and Breeze gang up on Pavor in the corner, but he battles them back with a sudden burst of energy. Every match he’s been a part of, Pavor kept his cool demeanour, but something big was on the line and he wanted it. Badly. He focused his attention on Scarlett and slams her face into the turnbuckle before hooking the neck and arm for a suplex into the corner. Scarlett slumps to the mat and Pavor drags her out for the pin. One...t—Bordeaux kicks out. The blonde uses the ropes to stand, but Nox was behind her, hoping for an inverted DDT. Scarlett gets the knee up to stun him and reverses into a Northern Lights suplex. Before she can capitalize, Tyler is on her and slings Scarlett into the gingerbread wall. It barely cracks, but the damage was certainly done as Bordeaux was stunned and grounded. Tyler yanks her up by the hair and whips her into the corner. He follows up with a running forearm and shoves her out of the corner for a dropkick from the second rope to pin her. One...two—Scarlett kicks out again.

Breeze looks to take on Nox now as Scarlett rolls away into the ropes to recuperate. They circle the ring before locking up, fighting for control. Nox headbutts the champion and quickly gets the knee to the gut. He follows up with a Ganso bomb, dropping Tyler on his neck. The champion is stunned as Pavor looks for the pin. One...t—Tyler kicks out, but Nox stays on him an armlock while shoving his knee in Tyler’s face. The champion is stuck in the center of the ring, unable to escape. Bordeaux puts herself back in the match with the double knees to the back of Pavor’s head to hook his legs. One...two...—Tyler breaks it up. Scarlett slaps Breeze across the face as they both stand and hooks him for a suplex. She rebounds off the ropes and follows up with a running knee to the face. Before she can capitalize, Pavor is behind her with a back suplex, but she elbows him multiple times and gets behind him to shove him in the ropes for a spear as he rebounds. Scarlett hooks his legs. One...two...t—Pavor kicks out. Bordeaux slams her hands on the mat in frustration and looks to the ceiling. The roof had yet to open. She couldn’t escape just yet, so Scarlett had Pavor up by his hair and whips him into the gingerbread wall.

The wall barely cracks, but Pavor was stunned and could not dodge a back suplex from Bordeaux. She then turns her attention on Tyler, looking to grab his leg. Breeze hangs onto the ropes and kicks her off. As Scarlett looks to attack again, he gets the legs around her neck and slings her forward with a rana into the wall. Bordeaux is stunned against the ropes and Tyler looks for the running boot. She narrowly evades him and his boot crashes painfully into the wall. Scarlett recuperates while Nox gets behind Tyler and drops him with a neckbreaker. He doesn’t have time to even stands as Bordeaux takes him out with the double knees into the pin. One...two...t—Pavor kicks out. The roof finally starts to open, but slowly. The option to escape was slowly approaching, but Bordeaux just needed more time. She has Nox to his feet and slings him into the corner before lifting him up on the turnbuckle. She looks to follow up, but as she climbs, Pavor slips under her legs and yanks her down. Scarlett’s face crashes into the turnbuckle, then Pavor quickly gets under her and lifts the woman high for the Electric Chair to the mat. He hooks her leg for the pin. One...two...thr—Tyler comes out of nowhere with the springboard moonsault onto Pavor to break it up.

Breeze has Pavor up and forearms him before looking to whip him in the corner. Breeze races in for the running knee, but Nox catches him and puts the champion across his shoulders for the Argentine submission hold. Nox keeps his hold on Tyler, tightening his grip, but Breeze isn’t tapping out. Pavor wastes no time transitioning to a sitout Argentine powerbomb, planting Tyler on his back. As the match continues, the crowd starts to go crazy. Spike and his doll companion came down the ramp with chairs and a table. The doll climbed the cage, tossing in the chairs first through the roof as it finally opened. It then supplied Pavor with the table passed to him from Spike. Nox let out a malicious laugh as he took up one of the chairs and immediately cracked it against Bordeaux’s back as she tried to stand. The woman walked in anguish and dropped to her knees, every strike echoing throughout the arena until she’s back down on the mat. He puts Scarlett’s neck between the folds of the chair before getting up high on the turnbuckle. Nox chuckled to himself as Bordeaux was unable to escape and eventually connected with a leg drop, crushing the chair around her throat.

Scarlett kicked and writhed on the mat in pain as Nox simply laughed. He soaked in every ounce of misery he caused to the woman and started to make the climb. Breeze was able to stand moments later, using the turnbuckle to grab the leg before Nox could escape. He managed to bring the man down far enough to lock in the waist for a back suplex from the top. Both men crash to the mat, Pavor stilled by agony as Breeze slowly crawled into the pin. One...two...th—Nox kicks out. Tyler focuses his attention on Bordeaux and has her up, but she’s able to shove him off. Pain still throbbed in her neck, but she was able to counter a clothesline into a DDT. Scarlett looks to climb out, but as she neared the top, she could see Spike and the doll waiting for her on the other side. Both stared at her with hateful grins, surely there to stop her from winning. As she’s distracted. Nox is up and kicks the leg out from under her. Bordeaux slips and collides with the mat. Pavor has her up and slaps the woman before slamming the face into the wall. He then starts to set up the table while both opponents are down.

Pavor then lies Scarlett across the wood before sending Tyler into the corner. Looking to repeat his actions from last week, Pavor sets Tyler up high for the suplex. As he does so, Natalya and Frankie race out and attack Spike and the doll at ringside. The four trade blows, but it’s the former champions who take them out using the cage as a weapon. Frankie and Natalya drag the two to the back, not easing up on their attacks as they look to even the odds. While Nox was distracted by this, Breeze battles back. He slams multiple fists into the face just as Scarlett slides off the table. As he attacks Nox, she starts the climb again. Breeze pushes Nox onto the table, but it surprisingly doesn’t break. Pavor remained still, however, and that allowed Tyler to race Scarlett to the top. They both make it and lock eyes, just moments away from victory. Back and forth they trade blows with each other. Breeze gouges the eyes and tries to toss her over, but she doesn’t dare let go of the wall. Scarlett battles back, slamming his face into the gingerbread bars before quickly lifting him onto her shoulders in the fireman’s carry. Bordeaux tosses him over and he lands on top of Pavor, shattering the table.

Scarlett continues the journey down the cage and eventually drops to the floor. The bell rings and Bordeaux is declared the new champion. After nine months on top, Tyler was finally dethroned by the Smokeshow. Bordeaux is awarded the championship as applause erupts all around the arena. She raises the belt up high, soaking in every bit of her victory.
