PCW Live: American Phoenix
The Scent

Taeler slowly steps through the ropes with a mic clutched within her manicured fingers. The redhead gave the crowd a sinister smile, licking along her bottom lip as she gazes across the arena. They were chanting for Kyle, but she paid them no mind and stood within the center of the ring with a look of contentment. Whatever she had to say seemed to pleased her in the back of her mind, but it was sure to displease the arena.
“My husband, Jay Lethal, earned every opportunity within Phoenix Championship Wrestling. He worked and worked to be recognized as the true Best in the World and it was showcased in his match against Kyle O’Reilly. He took that boy to the limit and nearly snapped him in half. Kyle will never encounter a challenge quite like Jay ever again.”
The fans started to boo her, but she held up a hand to silence them. “Due to the injuries sustained from that match, I deemed it necessary for Jay to take a well-deserved vacation. He’s put in more time and energy than anyone else in the last month.” The fans cheer that on, glad to be rid of him.
“However, while he is gone? His presence will be felt through me as it is finally time I reclaimed my spot as the most dangerous, competitive, and greatest female on this roster. I’ve allowed these weeds to slowly grow in my garden, but it’s time I snipped them right at the base and remove them. The women of PCW are great, there’s no denying that, but darlings, I’m the Shepard to their sheep. It is me who must guide them to Supremacy. Without my dominion, they scatter like headless chickens and that speaks poorly of my leadership skills.”
Hendrix started to turn and exit the ring but stopped on the apron with a grin forming again. “You better Hail Hendrix....or drop dead. My era has returned, my time is now, and their fall is imminent.”
Logan Square Auditorium
Spike Trivet vs Indigo Kelly
Indigo backs Trivet into the corner with a kick to the gut. She follows up with multiple punches and slaps to the face, shoulders, and back. She doesn’t relent and continues with a slam of the face into the turnbuckle. Unable to find Harlow, the woman had plenty of anger to unleash. Spike felt it as she chopped him across the chest and rolls out of the ring. He tries to recuperate, evading Kelly as she chases after him.
As she chases him back into the ring, he drives a knee into the face. Indigo hangs on the ropes and follows up with a code breaker for a two count. He beats down on Indigo before dragging her into the corner. He lifts her up high and tries to drop her with a suplex, but she battled back and kicks him down. Indigo looks for the moonsault, displaying shades of Hania, but she misses as he rolls out of the way. Spike rolls her up with the tights and pins Kelly before escaping.
The woman looks on in disbelief as he makes his way up the ramp with a point stolen from her and starts a meltdown in the ring. She kicks at the ropes and shrieks at the top of her lungs. Hania makes her appearance and tries to calm her down, but Indigo snaps and slaps her the moment Hania touches her. The she-wolf looks on in shock at first before her eyes start to darken with malice. Before Indigo had time to realize what she has done, Hania sent her down with a roundhouse and exited the ring.
Phil Jackal vs Jenny Blake
Future Of Phoenix Championship Match

This was a competitive match with both individuals putting it all on the line. Jackal almost catches Blake with a roll-up, grabbing her tights, but she escapes at two. Blake takes him down with an arm drag and follows up with a dropkick that sends him through the ropes. She follows up with a suicide dive into a tornado DDT. Phil doesn’t move and Blake struggles to force him back into the ring for the pin. She only gets a two count. Blake goes up high for a moonsault, but Jackal kicks her down.
He gets up high and connects with a double stomp to the chest for a two count. Phil forced her up and slings into the corner, shoulder connecting with the ring post before taking her out with a superkick to secure the victory. He shook his head in disappointment and took hold of the title and a mic.
“Competition has been so hard to find lately. I’ve demanded Taya give me somebody worth fighting, but none of you is stepping up to the plate. Anybody at any time can challenge me without points, but I’m met with such pathetic challengers.” Jackal rolls his eyes as the fans boo him. “I expected a fight from Jenny and got a child’s play. This might have been my shortest match in PCW. Was I not worth the full effort, Blake, or did you go soft?”
“If anybody is capable of beating me,” he says over the wave of boos enrapturing throughout the arena, “get your ass out to the ring next week and prove it.”

Tyler Breeze & Bray Wyatt

Breeze is relaxing backstage in what appears to be a specially made VIP area. He had his fluffy chairs, a bowl of fruit, champagne, and music playing. All was to his liking, living like a king in the company. The championship sat comfortably in an empty chair next to him and he was admiring the gold plate before the lights flickered. He looked up. The lights looked perfectly fine. Taya made sure they were brand new. They flickered again, intervals of the room going dark lasting a little longer than he would like.
A chuckle echoed from seemingly nowhere and Tyler immediately stood to his feet. Another flicker and Bray sat in the chair with the title in his lap. The briefcase was on the floor next to him. Tyler glared but didn’t dare lunge at Bray. “I see you’ve grown quite comfortable, Breeze. Becoming more lazy day after day. Is this the kind of champion PCW wanted? I have my doubts...”
He laughs as Breeze took his seat with a smile. “It’s the champion they got, whether they like it or not. I’ve held a vice grip on this company for months. No one has been able to dethrone me, even on my worst nights, because I’m just that good. I see opportunities and I capitalize. I take advantage and I rise every time because of it. You...you like to think of yourself as some kind of mastermind, but nothing you can think of will be enough. I—“
“You talk entirely too much, boy. I did not come to debate. I came to leave a message.” It was then that Wyatt disappeared with the case, but the belt was suddenly smeared with blood. Written in crimson letters was “MINE” in all caps.

Shaul Guerrero vs Ivelisse Velez

What should have been a match was cut as Shaul was found backstage next to a crowbar. The woman was clutching her head, trying to stand, but the pain was far to great. The paramedics were checking on her as Velez comes through with a smirk on her face. “Before anyone gets any ideas, I didn’t do it buuuuuut I wish I had."
She pushes past the paramedics and picks up the Heart of PCW Championship. She smirks and carries it off with her. Shaul tries to race to her feet to stop her, but she barely stood for a second before collapsing again. Ivelisse carted the title away with a laugh.

Savage and Elemental

Natalya and Frankie watch the show as they hold their tag team championships. They were discussing the next contenders, wondering which team would step up, however, Corvus and Vipress appeared to make that choice. They didn’t even speak. They simply attacked the champions like wild animals. Corvus tore at Frankie’s T-shirt over her gear, using it to choke the woman as Natalya was sent over a cart. Vipress drove her face into the floor and Corvus bit Frankie’s cheek, blood starting to trickle down.
The fight only ceased when security broke them apart. Corvus was blank, but his teeth were showing as blood trickled down his lips. His smile was dead, hollow, void of life—his eyes were wide with insanity. Vipress pats his shoulder and they depart with the champions being checked on.

Tyler Breeze vs Jimmy Havoc

The champion misses the first strike and Havoc capitalizes with a back suplex. Tyler is back on his feet instinctively but is too dazed to avoid a big boot that sends him over the ropes. Jimmy climbs out after him, proceeding to beat down on Breeze. Injuries from the Three Stages of Hell match were evident and Jimmy took advantage by crushing the ribs with multiple elbows. He sends Tyler into the barricade and slams the head back against it multiple times.
Jimmy drags Tyler back into the ring for a two count. He gouges the eyes and receives a warning from the referee, who he grabs by the shirt. Eyes wide with a hunger for chaos, Havoc tosses the referee across the ring. Breeze has time to roll him up and transition into a kick to the face. He gets to his feet and follows up with a meteora for the pinfall. Only two. Tyler wipes at his eyes, still feeling some pain. He brings Havoc to the corner and connects with multiple kicks to the chest.
Breeze follows up with a monkey flip. He tries for a jumping leg drop, but Havoc counters into a powerbomb, using the ropes for the pin. Tyler kicks out at two. As the men compete, Scarlett Bordeaux makes her way out with a mic in hand. “Don’t let me stop you, boys. I just came for a front row seat.” The blonde approaches the ring and takes a seat on the apron. “This match was looking kinda ugly, so I decided to bring some sexy to it. And just like that...all eyes are on me!” All eyes were indeed on her, including Havoc’s. He grabs Bordeaux by the hair and starts to pull. This allows Tyler to catch him from behind with a dropkick.
Scarlett drops off the apron and Jimmy turns to eat a Beauty Shot that puts him away. Breeze wasn’t satisfied, though. He took the mic Scarlett hand and held up his belt. “You run your mouth a lot for someone who has yet to get in the ring with me. You’re beautiful, that’s true, and you’re a great wrestler. Thing is, I’m better in both categories. You can waltz around the ring with a cute smile and try to cause a distraction, but I’m not nearly as weak-willed as the men and women in this arena. I know your game and I’m not playing, Scarlett. You can either face me next week or you can stay your ass in the back.”
Tessa Blanchard vs Joey Ryan vs Priscilla Kelly vs Sami Callihan vs Jon Moxley vs Ivelisse Velez

All five competitors awaited the mystery competitor who would be added tonight. It was none other than Ivelisse with the Heart of PCW Championship she stole from Shaul. The woman made her way down and put the title aside before entering the ring to start the match.
Priscilla takes on Joey first, driving her knee into the abdomen before flipping him over with a wristlock. She drives a kick into the back before rebounding off the ropes with a neck twist for a one count. Sami and Jon were tearing each other apart and it eventually came down to them rolling out of the ring, taking the action to the outside. Match be damned, they wanted to kill each other. Sami dropped Moxley on his back against the barricade before kicking him over into the crowd. They continued to trade shots, moving through the fans. The two vanished in the crowd and left the match entirely in an attempt to end each other.
Tessa and Ivelisse were locked up against the ropes and Blanchard kicked the leg out from under Ivelisse. She follows up with a knee to the face for a one count. She focused on the shoulder, driving her elbows into it again and again before kicking the back. Blanchard went up high to end Ivelisse early, but Joey shoves Priscilla into the corner and knocks Tessa over. Velez and Ryan work together to lift Priscilla up with Tessa and connect with a double suplex to both women. They both hook their legs and both kicked out. Joey took on Tessa now and sent her into the ropes, but she rebounds with a shoulder block. Before he can react, she stomps the torso and climbs up high again for the Magnum and puts him away for the first domination.
Ivelisse had Priscilla by the hair, slamming it against the mat. Blanchard grabs her from behind and forearms Velez before sending her into the corner. She goes for a clothes, but Ivelisse ducks out onto the apron. She kicks Tessa back and springboards through the ropes with a tornado DDT. She hooks the leg, but Tessa kicks out. Kelly enters the fight with a dropkick to Ivelisse. She tumbles out of the ring and Kelly beats down on Blanchard. She scratches and claws at the back before forcing her up. Kelly looks for a DDT, but Blanchard reverses she drives a boot to the chest. Tessa follows up with a German suplex to Priscilla before connecting with shining wizard. She hooks the leg for a two count.
Blanchard shoves Kelly into the corner and forearms her multiple times. Tessa lifts her up on the turnbuckle, looking for the corner code breaker, but Priscilla kicks her back and flies off with the crossbody for a pin and shockingly eliminates Tessa. Blanchard loses it and drops Priscilla with the hammerlock DDT despite being eliminated, allowing Ivelisse to come in and hook the leg to eliminate her.
Jon and Sami never returned and Ivelisse was declared the winner by forfeit of both competitors, earning five points in her debut. Kelly was on the outside enraged, eyes following Tessa as she was up on the ramp with a smirk on her face. She brushes her shoulder and flips off Priscilla.

All static

“I wanna know who the hell attacked me last week!” Aries shouts as he slams his hands on the desk.
“Your guess is as good as mine, Austin. Security cameras were no good considering the lights were out. Anyone who left the arena as soon as they came back on couldn’t be spotted. Something...strange happened to the cameras.”
“Strange how?” Aries looks to the screens. “They seem fine now.”
“A week has passed. I don’t pay for shit equipment. There would’ve been a problem if they were still damaged, but look.”
Taya pulled up the videos from last week and just as a hand came through the curtains, the cameras began to static and shut down. They could only activate again an hour later. “Someone made sure they went off after their attack, so we don’t know who did it. If you ask me, though? Nobody really likes you, so it could be anyone.”
“This is bullshit!”
He slams his hands on the desk again before storming out of the room and leaving Taya with a grin on her face. “Like dealing with a toddler...”

Will Ospreay vs MJF
No Holds Barred
Ospreay takes it to MJF without hesitation, sending him through the ropes early on. He takes a risk with a suicide dive and it pays off. MJF is dazed and Will throws punch after punch to the face. He climbs the steel steps for a senton, but MJF kicks the steps and Will collapses to the floor. Maxwell takes advantage with stomps to the back and head. He retrieves a chair from under the ring and brings it down against the back multiple times. He then sets up the chair and seats Will. Maxwell looks off into the crowd with a smirk before following up with a big boot, sending Ospreay flying back against the steel. Maxwell sends him back into the ring for a two count.
Will tries to stand, but MJF is on his back and pulls at the nose and mouth. No count could be made as anything goes in this match. MJF eventually releases him and lifts him up from behind for a double chickenwing facebuster into the pin. Will still kicks out. Maxwell rolls out of the ring and grabs a trash can, tossing it in. He enters the ring and looks to attack Will, but a dropkick sends the metal back into the face of MJF. Will follows up with a bulldog. He goes up high, looking for a Shooting Star Press and hooks the leg. MJF kicks out. Ospreay gets desperate and exits the ring. He brings in a table and tries to set it up. MJF takes him down from behind and slams his face into the corner.
He uses the table against Will into the torso. He sets it up the corner horizontally before placing Will on top. He goes up high and looks to the crowd. “I can do this flippy crap, too! I can do it all!” He tries for a senton, but Ospreay rolls out of the way in time. He slowly gets to his feet and drags MJF to the center for the pin. Miraculously, MJF kicks out. Will drives fist after fist into the face and slowly brings MJF to his feet. He tries for the Storm Breaker, but a moment too long to set it up gives MJF the advantage with a forearm. MJF drives him down big boot to the chest. MJF looks for the Friedman Armbar Special, but Will manages to reverse and roll MJF up for the three count.
Ospreay celebrates with the fans, literally racing into the crowd as Maxwell looks on in disbelief. Will is lifted by a crowd before he’s standing on the barricade, eyes directed on MJF and a smirk on his face.
