Dear Al,

I just… feel like I should tell you how much you have made me feel alive and worthy these days.

My presence, which I once thought meant so little, somehow became something you genuinely cherished. And to me, that is more than enough. It’s in the simplest things—being able to see you each day, sharing quiet moments with you—that I’ve come to realize just how beautiful those days can be.

So, I want to sincerely thank you for being here, for staying by my side. Thank you for teaching me how to smile, how to laugh, and even how to miss you when you’re not around. Thank you for teaching me that home is not always a place. Sometimes, home can be a person—and I’ve come to realize that, somehow, my home is you.

If only I could make you look into my eyes, you would see just how amazing you are as a person. Perhaps then, you would understand how deeply I admire you, and how grateful I am that our paths ever crossed.

I don’t think I could ever put it into words perfectly, but… I am grateful that I met you. Because having you here has made this world feel a little more like somewhere I belong. If you ever wonder what you have become to me, I hope you’ll let me answer it simply—you are every reason this life I have in this human world feels beautiful.
