The Korean modern pentathlon team is aiming for 'two rabbits' at the same time: a performance check at the World Championships held ahead of the Hangzhou Asian Games and a 토토사이트 ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The national team will participate in the International Modern Pentathlon Federation (UIPM) 2023 World Championships held in Bath, England from the 21st to the 28th of this month.

Men's Woong-Tae Jeon (Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall), Jin-Hwa Jeong, Ji-Hoon Lee (LH), Chang-Wan Seo (South Jeolla Provincial Office), Se-Hee Kim (BNK Savings Bank), Seon-Woo Kim (Gyeonggi-Do Office), Seung-Min Seong (Korea National Sport University), Eun-Ju Kim (Gangwon Province) sports club).

At last year's Games held in Alexandria, Egypt, Korea collected two gold medals (men's relay and mixed relay), one silver medal (women's team event), and one bronze medal (women's relay), the most medals among participating countries.

With the Hangzhou Asian Games approaching in about a month, this year's tournament is considered an opportunity to demonstrate the skills that have been forged through intense training on the international stage.

In addition, the top three players in the men's and women's individual competitions at this event will be given the right to participate in next year's Paris Olympics, further motivating the players.

There are a total of five prizes in the men's individual event at the Korea Modern Pentathlon World Championships.

In 2004, Lee Chun-heon won the first silver medal, and Jeong Jin-hwa won the bronze medal in 2012 and 2016, and in 2017, became the first Korean player to win the individual event.

Since then, in 2019, Jeon Woong-tae has risen to third place.

Jeon Woong-tae and Jeong Jin-hwa, who ranked 3rd and 4th in the men's individual event at the Tokyo Olympics held in 2021, will challenge to win the relay race following last year, along with reclaiming the podium in the individual event at the World Championships.

They jointly won the men's relay silver medal in the 2019 and 2021 competitions, and are recording second place or higher in all three recent world championships.

It is also noteworthy whether Korea won three consecutive mixed relay championships in 2021 (Seo Chang-wan-Kim Se-hee) and last year (Jeon Woong-tae-Kim Seon-woo).

The men's and women's relay races will be held first on the 21st and 22nd, followed by the men's and women's individual preliminary rounds on the 23rd and 24th, the semifinals on the 25th and 26th, and the final on the 27th.

The mixed relay race will be held on the 28th, the last day of the competition.
