I am sure you must be wondering how to replace green card. In this article I will tell you how to renew your green card easily:

Step 1: The very first step is to get your paperwork together. You will need to send this paperwork along with your application. Generally you need to attach a copy of your green card, it does not matter even if it is expired. You will also need to attach the proof of your residency in the United States unless you have authorization to stay outside.

Step 2: Once your documents are ready you will file the petition with the USICS to renew your green card. You will fill form I-90 to request renewal of your green card. You will also have to pay a filing fees of $455 and $85 for biometrics.

Step 3: You then submit your application online and pay the fees with a credit card. You can also apply by mail and send the payment via check or money order.

Step 4: You will next get an appointment to go and get your biometrics done.

This is it. Once you file your application, submit documents, pay the fees, and get biometrics done. Your part is over. Now you just have to wait for your new green card to arrive in mail.

Once you file your application you will receive a receipt for your application. You will use this receipt number to track the progress of your case online.

You will then get an appointment to go for your biometrics.

That is it. You are all done. Now you just have to wait and hope your green card arrives sooner than later.
