A game-breaking bug that is present in the 10th chapter of Digimon Survive has finally been fixed in its latest update. The game had sent off recently and was bound to happen for fans of the franchise. After Digimon Survive's extended and disturbed development cycle, it was released to mixed-to-positive reviews from fans and critics. With that tumultuous time developing the game, there will undoubtedly be some issues that would crop up after the game had sent off.
While the bugs shift depending on the platform, there was one that wound up breaking the game assuming the conditions were just correct. Whenever players had arrived at Digimon Survive's 10th chapter assuming the player was adequately unfortunate to have accomplished certain conditions, the main capability that could be selected was "Free Battle." This main permitted the player to participate in random encounter battles, locking them out of other functions. This bug had kept several users from progressing through the story, and while the official Digimon games account on Twitter recorded a brief workaround, it was not the most ideal solution.
This was all first addressed by the account close to the furthest limit of August, stating that the developers were working on a patch for the game. This fix for Digimon Survive was finally released, bundled in with the game's version 1.03 update. Players just have to connect their game to the Internet in request to download and update the game to the latest version to cure this issue.

This update, coming almost a month subsequent to being discovered, had eased fans, who were still waiting for the developers to address it, with others wondering why it took so lengthy. Some were just happy the error was fixed, and they could continue playing the game, especially considering this chapter is past the halfway point, and the game continues after Digimon Survive splits into many routes.
There were some other fans of Digimon Survive who voiced their concerns about the game, most eminently involving the game's pre-request Guilmon DLC. Reports from fans on Twitter had indicated that despite doing everything to pre-request the game, they never accepted their the very beginning DLC Digimon. According to certain users, a button brief that would usually pop up to permit them to download it never showed up, and it's been this way since its send off. Hopefully, this issue can also be addressed by the developers sooner rather than later.
