BOOKS RECOMMENDED FOR JEE MAIN 2017

 

Introduction:

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) is conducted to get admissions into various engineering colleges in India. It is considered to be the most difficult level examination for the science student. The exam conducting authority of JEE Mains is the Government of India itself. There are two parts in the JEE exams- JEE Mains is required for the admissions into the National Institute of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, Centrally Funded Technical Institutes etc. while JEE Advanced will be required for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology. The candidates will have to prepare accordingly based on the institute in which they desire to get admission.

Exam Pattern:

  • The test will be conducted in the Multiple Choice Question type and not descriptive.

Paper 1:

This paper will be conducted for getting admissions into the B.E and B.Tech. Courses.

Equal weightage is given to the subjects- mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

 

Paper 2:

This paper will be conducted for getting admission into the B.Arch. and B.Planning. Courses.

The questions in this paper will be related to Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing.

  • Each question will carry 4 marks and the total marks of the examination will be 360 marks and the division is as follows

Physics- 30 questions- 120 marks

Chemistry- 30 questions- 120 marks

Mathematics- 30 questions- 120 marks.

  • 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong attempted answer.

 

The marking system and may seem very simple however, it may become very difficult to pass in the JEE examinations. Referring good books for clearing the concepts can definitely help the students to achieve the qualifying marks in the examination.

 

 

Guidelines for usage of books to be used for JEE Main 2017:

 

The candidate must first start his studies from the 11th and 12th Standard books because maximum of the concepts asked in the JEE examination will be asked from the 11th and 12th portion.

Once the candidate finishes referring all the note of the 11th and HSC examinations, he can then start referring some extra study material. Following are some of the good books recommended for the various subjects:
