To germinate a small bean by imbuing it with magic energy instead of water and mulch, was one of the easiest ways to prove one’s magical prowess.
Felix tried each and every way he found, but he was unable to perform even the simplest of changes on it, even despite having read book after book of elemental magic, energy transference, and reality-warping he could put his paws onto. He even was tempted to use blood magic to make it grow, despite knowing the adverse effects of trying that brand of dark magic… And he was even unable to do that.
Enraged, tired, and desperate, Felix lashed out at the small pot in which the bean was resting…
And he suddenly saw it flying across the room, hitting the wall on the other side.
The bean itself was clean, with no dirt or water on it at all.
The pot was intact. The soil remained the same.
He just… splitted the bean out of the pot.
