Clubfoot treatment for babies starts before they are even born. The earlier the diagnosis and treatment of clubfoot, the better the  outcome. Treatment for clubfoot involves a combination of stretching, casting, and bracing, and can be done in several different ways. One of the most popular and successful treatments is the Ponseti Method for clubfoot treatment.

The Ponseti Method of clubfoot  treatment is a non-surgical technique that is used to correct a baby’s clubfoot. It involves a series of gentle weekly stretching and casting sessions that are designed to help the baby’s clubfoot return to its normal shape and position. After the first few weeks of stretching and casting, a special brace known as the Denis-Browne Splint is worn to keep the clubfoot in the correct position.

This process typically takes six to eight weeks and is followed by regular checkups to ensure the clubfoot remains in the correct position. The Ponseti Method of clubfoot treatment is safe and highly effective, with long-term success rates of up to 90 percent. The goal is to provide a baby with a fully functioning, pain-free foot that is not only able to bear weight, but also look and function like a normal foot.
