In a multi-driver loudspeaker system, a super tweeter is a speaker driver designed to produce ultra high frequencies. Its goal is to generate a more realistic sound environment, which is commonly referred to as "airy-ness." Super tweeters are occasionally found in high-fidelity speaker systems, as well as home theatre systems. They are used to augment the sound of tweeters by recreating frequencies that the tweeter may only be capable of reproducing with a restricted polar output or with distortion.
