HAIKYUU SEASON 5

HAIKYUU SEASON 5

What Does Haikyuu Mean for Fans?

Haikyuu is a sports anime, but since most geek people describe this anime as gay anime, it avoids being a reason for the preference for many anime lovers. Still, recently this perception has been broken thanks to new animes. Haikyuu is a sports anime with the best subject and narration that can be obtained with both its illustrations and limited possibilities. No matter how short Hinata is, there is no limit to what she can do. It motivates people in many ways, and it is one of the rare anime that can leave positive effects on people by encouraging many viewers to volleyball.

What are the Volleyball Terms to Know Before Starting Haikyuu?

In Haikyuu anime, the terms elephants (stuffing) and volleyball, inserted in most places, are described. Although these terms are sufficient for some, in our opinion, the terms taught in the anime are not enough to fully understand the anime. Therefore, it will be better for you to start anime by learning the following terms. Because anime is a sports anime, it is always better to know everything and start from the beginning instead of saying "yes, this is what it is" in the following episodes.

Closing preferred angle: The blocking players try to close the area they are assigned in case they do not come together.

Open Ball (Deep Set): The open ball game is set away from the net and designed so that the dunk occurs near the scrimmage line. These constructs aim to disrupt the timing of block players. Other Uses, Open pass‚ open dunk‚ open high pass.

Man to Man Block: The situation where the blockers take one attacker and block the attacker one-on-one without helping each other.

Approaching: The movement of the feet in the technique of dunking the ball.

Passing: Passing the ball to another player.

Active Block (Penetration): Reaching to the other side of the net, with the hands above the net, past the vertical plane of the net, to meet an attack.

Area Defense (Perimeter Defense): Backline defenders work in the area between one meter from the finish line and the sidelines and three meters from the line.

Low Pass: 1. The low pass of the offensive pass to the spiker. 2. The ball that the setter or the passer throws low to the spiker waiting for the high pass.

Block: Attempting to block the opponent's attack. Usually, both players are on the net, and the defenders try to prevent the ball from crossing the net with their hands.

Cross Court Attack: A dunk made from one end of the attacking team's net to the opposite sideline of the opposing team's field

For now, these terms are ideal for those who are just starting with anime, but please don't watch it mid-season because we 100% believe you won't understand anything when you watch it mid-season. As an extra, I didn't write the terms like setter and libero. It was explained well at the beginning of the anime.
