'Shouldn't SON get it?" EPL September Player of the Month award 'already a done deal'

On September 5, the English Premier League (EPL) announced the nominees for the September Player of the Month award via official channels.

Son Heung-min, Mohamed Salah, Kieran Trippier, Ollie Watkins, Julian Alvarez, Jared Bowen, and Pedro Neto have been nominated for the EPL Player of the Month award for September.

Son has been making his presence felt in the frontline, filling the void left by the departure of Harry Kane and the struggles of Heung-Min Son.

In the fourth-round tie against Burnley, when Tottenham were 1-0 down after conceding a goal, Heung-min equalized with a sensational chip in the 16th minute after a passing play with Manor Solomon found the keeper out of position and in space.

Then, Son Heung-min's show began. In the 19th minute of the second half, after receiving a pass from Solomon, Heung-min surged forward and scored his team's fourth goal and his second of the season with a direct shot.

Son wasn't done scoring. In the 22nd minute of the second half, he found space behind the Burnley defense and found the back of the net again after receiving a pass from Foro. It was his first hat-trick of the season.

It was Son's fourth career hat-trick against Burnley this season, following the others at Southampton (2020/21), Aston Villa (2021/22) and Leicester City (2022/23).

Son also shone in the North London derby against Arsenal. He rattled the Arsenal net in the second minute of the first half, but was denied by an offside flag. Then, in the 22nd minute, a brilliant pass from the right flank found Johnson with a threatening shot that was saved by the goalkeeper.

Son Heung-min, however, responded. He opened the scoring in the 42nd minute with a deft touch to deflect a pass from James Maddison after a scramble in the box. It was his fourth goal in the EPL this season.

The scoring didn't stop there. In the 10th minute of the second half, Madsen broke through after pressing and stealing the ball from Jorginho. The ball was passed to Son Heung-min, who found himself one-on-one with the keeper. It was the fifth goal of the EPL.

Heung-min scored seven goals in the North London derby against Arsenal. That's more than Robin van Persie, Gareth Bale, and Thierry Henry, who have five.

His multi-goal performance against Arsenal also gave him 150 career goals in a Tottenham shirt. 바카라사이트

He also found the back of the net against Liverpool to reach the milestone of 200 European goals.

Son found the back of the net for Liverpool in the 35th minute with a simple touch after receiving a cross from the left flank from a James Maddison through ball.

Son has previously been named Player of the Month in September 2016, April 2017, and October 2020. He is aiming for his fourth career award.

Only Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, Alan Shearer, Dennis Bergkamp, and Paul Scholes have won Player of the Month four times in EPL history.

British media outlet Bleacher Report took to social media to highlight the nominees for the EPL's September Player of the Month, and fans are reacting.

Not surprisingly, the fans are saying that Son Heung-min should win the award.

'Son Heung-min should win', 'It's all about Son Heung-min', 'Super Sonny', 'Son Heung-min wins', 'Son Heung-min should win', 'Great Son Heung-min', 'Of course Son Heung-min', etc.
