Artist Uday Deb has exquisitely designed and handcrafted a collection of wooden dolls that resemble characters from legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s cult classic ‘Goopi Gyne Bagha Byne’, a musical fantasy-cum-adventure film which has been watched by generations of Bengali kids. A nationally reputed cartoon artist, Uday Deb is a creative man with a strong passion for traditional art especially hand-crafted wooden dolls. Each of the series he creates has their own unique interpretation of the characters that have inspired him.
