Lee Dae-sung-Samsung refutes allegations

Lee Dae-sung 34, who caused controversy when he signed a contract with Seoul Samsung, not his former team Daegu Korea Gas Corporation, as he returned to the KBL court after a year of completing his overseas challenge, even raised suspicions of "pre-contact tamping."

If the player and the club come into contact first before the set negotiation period, disciplinary action is inevitable, but in the worst case, the contract may be invalidated.

In response, Samsung denied that there was "no prior contact" but insisted that "there are no clear guidelines."

Lee Dae-sung, who recently terminated his contract with Shihosu Mikawa of Japan's B League, signed a contract with Samsung on the 21st, the deadline for free agent negotiations, for a two-year contract period and a total of 600 million won in compensation for the first year.

And Lee Dae-sung held a press conference at the KBL Center in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 22nd to explain his return to Korea and the process of joining Samsung.

After not returning to Korea Gas Corporation, which opened the way for overseas expansion a year ago, he bowed his head, saying, "I'm sorry to the club and the fans."

He said he sat at the negotiating table aiming only to join Samsung, and asked Korea Gas Corporation to understand in advance that he would sign a contract with Samsung if he returned to Korea. Regarding Korea Gas Corporation's offer to recruit him on the 20th, he said, "I am embarrassed," but drew the line, "There was no sincere offer."

Korea Gas Corporation gave up the right to a player by not arbitrarily removing Lee a year ago. The decision was made with the intention that Lee would play for at least two years in overseas competitions. However, controversy escalated as Lee returned to the domestic competition after a one-year absence.  토토사이트 추천

Korea Gas Corporation did not receive any compensation due to Lee Dae-sung's transfer to Samsung. In response, Lee emphasized moral responsibility and asked Samsung for compensation measures.

However, according to the KBL regulations, Lee Dae-sung is "uncontracted" and cannot compensate himself. A Samsung official also said, "It is wrong for Korea Gas Corporation to order players to receive compensation. We will hear from Korea Gas Corporation, but we cannot promise to review compensation."

In addition to compensation, allegations of prior contact remained controversial.

Lee Dae-sung, who had no intention of continuing his challenge in Japan, said he signed the contract because Samsung offered him an opportunity to play as a point guard. He added that the presence of his close friend Kim Hyo-bum also affected his move to Samsung.

Lee Dae-sung opened a single negotiation window with Samsung from the first day of negotiations. This is why it is suspected that there is prior coordination with Samsung in advance.

In the FA market this time, players eligible for FA can freely negotiate with 10 teams from July 7 to 21, but will be banned from folding anything for contract negotiations until the official announcement date. Violators will be subject to sanctions such as invalidation of contracts and fines in accordance with the KBL reward and punishment regulations.

"I was in a situation where I had to terminate my contract when negotiations with Mikawa ended," Lee Dae-sung said. "After that, I was offered an official recruitment by Samsung," adding, "I have been close to Coach Kim Hyo-beom for a long time, so I know him even if I don't tell him."

Samsung also said, "It was only during the FA negotiation period that we talked about the details of the contract exactly," adding, "I've never heard the two of them say, 'Would you like to play for Samsung?' as they are acquaintances. It's their own personal relationship."

"Honestly, I'm not exactly sure about Lee's status. Playing in Japan Lee Dae-sung is not registered in the KBL. I'm not sure if what we did was in prior contact, but we need to confirm that. There should be clear guidelines," he stressed.
