Once upon a time, there lived a cute little girl in a village. Her name was Ritu and she loved eating chocolates a lot. She also enjoyed dancing and playing. Every day, after playing for a while she would eat her favourite chocolates and cookies. Her mother was worried about Ritu and often scolded her for having too many chocolates. "It is very bad for your health. Your teeth will soon turn black and you will have a stomachache if you continue eating chocolates like that", said her mother angrily. But little Ritu did not listen to her mother and enjoyed eating her chocolates.
Pada suatu hari, hidup seorang anak perempuan kecil imut di sebuah desa. Namanya Ritu dan dia suka makan banyak coklat. Dia juga suka menari dan bermain. Setiap hari, setelah bermain sebentar, dia akan makan beberapa coklat dan kue favoritnya. Ibunya khawatir dengan Ritu dan sering memarahinya karena makan terlalu banyak coklat. “Itu tidak baik untuk kesehatanmu. Gigimu perlahan akan menjadi hitam dan kamu akan sakit perut bila terus-menerus makan coklat” kata ibunya dengan marah. Tapi Ritu kecil tidak mendengarkan ibunya dan tetap menikmati makan coklatnya.
One day when little Ritu was preparing to go to bed, she saw a fairy. She asked Ritu her name, to which she replied, “My name is Ritu. Are you the fairy who fulfils everyone’s wish?” The fairy smiled and nodded her head saying yes. Little Ritu got excited and requested the fairy to take her to the chocolate land. The fairy granted the wish made by little Ritu.
Suatu hari ketika Ritu kecil bersiap untuk tidur, dia melihat peri. Peri itu menanyakan namanya dan dijawab “Namaku Ritu. Apakah kamu Si Peri yang bisa mengabulkan permintaan orang?” Si Peri tersebut tersenyum dan menganggukkan kepala yang berarti iya. Ritu kecil menjadi semangat dan meminta Si Peri untuk membawanya ke Pulau Coklat. Si Peri mengabulkan permintaannya.
They soon reached the chocolate land. Ritu noticed the huge ice cream river and all the houses were made of cookies. She then headed towards the biscuit building and danced happily on the chocolate terrace. She saw chocolate trees and cookie castles. She came downstairs and climbed a chocolate tree. It was filled with candies and gems. Little Ritu began swinging on the tree branch and was overjoyed to see everything around her to be filled with chocolates.
Mereka lalu sampai ke Pulau Coklat. Ritu melihat sungai besar dari es krim dan semua rumah di sana yang terbuat dari kue. Dia lalu berjalan menuju ke sebuah bangunan dari biskuit dan menari bahagia di teras yang terbuat dari coklat. Dia melihat pohon-pohon dari coklat dan istana-istana dari kue. Dia turun dan memanjat sebuah pohon dari coklat. Pohon itu penuh dengan permen dan permata. Ritu kecil mulai berayun di cabang pohon dan terlalu senang karena melihat semua di sekitarnya dipenuhi dengan coklat.
She ran towards the ice cream shop and was excited to see all the flavours of ice cream. Mango, Strawberry, Vanilla and chocolate, little Ritu ate all of the ice creams. But chocolate was her favourite one.
Dia berlari menuju ke toko es krim dan senang melihat semua rasa es krim. Mangga, Stroberi, Vanila, dan coklat, Ritu kecil memakan semua es krimnya. Tetapi coklat adalah rasa terfavoritnya.
There were tiny hills made of gems and chocolates everywhere. Ritu jumped on those gems-filled hills and rolled down. She was laughing and dancing with joy but soon her stomach started to ache badly. She saw a mirror and was shocked to see her reflection there. All her white teeth were now turned black and her stomachache was increasing. She regretted eating so many chocolates in one day.
Ada bukit-bukit kecil yang terbuat dari permata dan coklat di mana-mana. Ritu melompat ke situ dan berguling. Dia tertawa dan menari dengan bahagia tetapi segera perutnya sakit sekali. Dia melihat ke kaca dan terkejut melihat bayangannya di sana. Semua gigi putihnya sekarang menjadi hitam dan perutnya bertambah sakit. Dia menyesal makan banyak sekali coklat di satu hari.
Now she realised her mother was correct. Ritu began crying and requested the fairy, "I want to go home, I have realised my mistake. From now on, I will always listen to my mother and brush my teeth before going to bed. I will also not eat too many chocolates." Seeing her cry, the fairy felt bad and replied, "Ohh darling Ritu, I will take you to your home but promise me that you will always remember to listen to your elders." Little Ritu promised the fairy to obey her order and that she will always listen to her elders.
Sekarang dia sadar kalau ibunya benar. Ritu mulai menangis dan memohon ke Si Peri, “Aku mau pulang, Aku sudah sadar kesalahanku. Mulai sekarang, aku akan selalu mendengarkan ibuku dan menyikat gigiku sebelum tidur. Aku juga tidak akan makan terlalu banyak coklat.” Melihatnya menangis, Si Peri merasa kasihan dan menjawab, “Ohh Ritu sayang, aku akan membawamu pulang tapi berjanjilah padaku bahwa kamu akan selalu mendengarkan orang-orang yang lebih tua.” Ritu kecil berjanji untuk menuruti Si Peri dan dia akan selalu mendengarkan orang-orang yang lebih tua darinya.
