Re: Sleeve Glider
This glider is composed
of the materials that
you get with a cup
of Starbucks Coffee.
Using the natural curve
of the sleeve as the
basic dihedral,
tape a stirrer stick
flat-wise to the wing.
Press the tape firmly
into the sleeve corrugations,
as that paper is rather
non-stick.
The flat stirrer makes
a good tail mount.
Make a small rudder,
to avoid tail-heaviness...
A plastic stopper becomes
an adjustable nose-weight
when taped with a small
tight loop of tape.
Adjust the wing dihedral,
and curve the back edges
of the wings downward, for lift.
I trimmed the wings
narrower at the back,
because it was fluttering
and stalling with wide wings.
Hold the plane by the
nose-weight tape loop,
and toss 45° upwards.
It flies pretty well !
