If we talk about a healthy diet, it could never be complete without the addition of leafy greens. No, that’s not solely limited to salads; it’s much more than that. Storing tender salad greens

 

Since baby greens are quite delicate, you would have to focus more on their storage. Store them in the fridge right in an air-tight container. On the other hand, if you have loose greens, you need to wash them first. Separate the heads of the lettuce to the wilted pieces. Once done, dip those greens in the bowl of cold water. Repeat it several times. After that, dry it in a notable salad spinner.

 

You need to make sure that there is minimal moisture left in the leafy greens since water can shorten their shelf life. Their storage would depend upon the storage in your fridge. If you have less space, just put the leafy greens on a paper roll and keep it in a resealable plastic bag in the fridge. But, if you have a bit more space, keep it in a lidded container.

Bunched greens such as broccoli, collards, kale, and swiss develop best in lesser temperatures. Due to the same reason, you would have to place these veggies in the fridge. They would never love excess moisture, and so, you need to ensure that they are not in direct contact with water. As we mentioned above, their storage would also depend upon the space in your fridge.
