"Kane wouldn't have been as good as SON"...Kane transfer claims Tottenham No.1 'helped' him

Tottenham's outstanding form this season has been attributed to the transfer of Harry Kane.

Spurs have gone through a period of change this season, but thanks to the brilliant tactics of manager Ange Postecoglou, the emergence of new faces, and the improvement of existing core players, they are still top of the table after 10 league games.

After a question mark-filled start to the season, with concerns about Kane's absence and doubts about the quality of Postecoglou and his new recruits, Spurs are now highly regarded and even in contention for the title. 카지노사이트가이드

Spurs are unbeaten in the league with eight wins and two draws in 10 games, and during their unbeaten run, they've shown their mettle against some of the league's strongest teams, including Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

Amidst all this, it has been suggested that a move for Kane could be the key to Tottenham's rise.

"Kane's departure may have helped Tottenham this season," Forbes reported on Sept. 29.

Kane left Tottenham to join Bayern Munich shortly before the start of the season, making a trophy-seeking decision. Without Kane, Spurs were unable to find a replacement. Instead, Tottenham used Son Heung-min up front to fill the void.

"The mood among Tottenham fans before the start of the 2023/24 season was grim," Forbes wrote. They had lost their best player, Kane. But Spurs have gotten off to a flying start under Postecoglou. They're at the top of the Premier League, and some supporters are starting to wonder if their team can challenge for the title," Forbes said of Spurs' rise this season.

"Kane may not have been the right fit for Postecoglou's tactical approach. Kane is the best central striker of his generation, and his goalscoring record probably makes him the best England striker of all time, but Postecoglou would have had to adjust his game plan to accommodate him," he said, arguing that if Kane had remained in the team, Postecoglou might not have been able to lead the team the way he wanted to.

As for the team's tactics after Kane's departure, the media outlet said: "James Maddison has been playing as an attacking midfielder for Tottenham this season, and he is the link between the attack and the midfield. If Kane had been in the team, Maddison would not have enjoyed such a free role. You can see that in the way they play together for the England national team," he said, adding that Maddison's performance would not have been as good.

Forbes emphasized that it is Son Heung-min, not Kane, who is the most capable striker in Postecoglou's system. "To unlock the full potential of Postecoglou's system, he also needs a central striker who can get into the opposition's backline and make the most of the pitch.

Meanwhile, Tottenham's rise to prominence this season has led Kane to express a desire to win with them rather than envy. Speaking after the Darmstadt game, Kane said: "I always keep an eye on what's happening in England. We're number one, Tottenham are number one. Everything seems to be going well," and congratulated Tottenham on their top spot.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs, who have turned their post-Kane fears into expectations, can pull off the upset of lifting a trophy in their first year with Kane.
