A Kaleidoscope of Flavors at RICKY BAKERY: The search for a job when he was 19 years old provided Richard lvarez Guerra, better known as "Ricky," with the opportunity to begin as an apprentice in a pastry shop, and even though he tried to move away from the range of gastronomy for a while to devote himself to other activities, he returned to stay at the turn of the years.
Ricky's original idea was to try to combine Cuban pastries with European and Latin American desserts such as TresLeches from Nicaragua, Tiramisu, Seoritas, Eclear, and so on. Similarly, gastronomy has innovated in its demography and put its stamp on the menu with specialties like the "Ricky" sandwich, which he prepares with chorizo, cream cheese, and a special sauce, among other ingredients.
Ricky Bakery currently has its production and manufacturing workshops to make the products that it sells in all of its bakeries on Bird Road and Coral Way, which employ more than 24 people.
The entrepreneur now owns four successful bakeries in Miami-Dade County that operate under the name "Ricky Bakery" and whose menu reflects the kaleidoscope of nationalities, particularly Latin American, that characterize this 2.4 million-person county.
