This reconsidering of the adored melodic West Side Story stars Ansel Elgort (Tony); Ariana DeBose (Anita); David Alvarez (Bernardo); Mike Faist (Riff); Brian d'Arcy James (Officer Krupke); Corey Stoll (Lieutenant Schrank); Josh Andrés Rivera (Chino); with Rita Moreno (as Valentina, who possesses the corner store in which Tony works); and presenting Rachel Zegler (Maria.) Moreno - one of just three craftsmen to be regarded with Academy®, Emmy®, GRAMMY®, Tony® and Peabody Awards - likewise fills in as one of the film's chief makers.
Uniting the best of both Broadway and Hollywood, West Side Story inventive group incorporates Kushner, who additionally filled in as a leader maker; Tony Award® champ Justin Peck, who arranged the melodic numbers in the film; prestigious Los Angeles Philharmonic guide and GRAMMY Award® victor Gustavo Dudamel, who helmed the recording of the notorious score; Academy Award®-designated author and guide David Newman ("Anastasia"), who organized the score, Tony Award®-winning writer Jeanine Tesori ("Fun Home," "Completely Modern Millie"), who administered the cast on vocals; and GRAMMY®-selected music boss Matt Sullivan ("Beauty and the Beast," "Chicago"), who fills in as chief music maker for the film.
