What's up gamers! This isn't a post I thought I would be making anytime soon. As of two days ago I had no intention of doing so, but I'll be moving back to Southern California on the 29th of July. (just under two weeks from now) This was very last minute as I had housing plans fall through and when I was searching for new housing, it became apparent to me that the Bay Area is far too expensive for a 23 year old fresh out of college, especially when my parents gave me the opportunity to pursue my masters degree while living with them.
I'm not sure where to start, but the joy and family that NorCal smash has given me can't truly be described. I had no idea that when I started to attend the SFSU locals in 2019 it would have such a major impact on my life, but I'm well and truly thankful for all the memories and amazing people I've been so lucky to cross paths with in these 5 years. I've met so many wonderful people from both the ultimate and melee scenes that I truly consider family. After the pandemic, I truly found the melee scene to be a second family for me and it's been a pleasure to grow with all of you for these few years. I'm very grateful for being able to help TO and to be an active community member in San Francisco. Hopefully I can move back here one day. (god knows Orange County ain't it) In the meantime I'll still be hosting the SF melee Arcadian on the 27th of this month and an unannounced super special event in September which I'll be back up here for. I could go on and on talking about all the amazing memories and stories I have, or thanking people individually, but truth be told that would be far too long if that was the case.
