***

Archiving your work

is important.

I once had

html pages

on AOL (cdmandolin)

...gone.

I once had

my own

ChuckDarling.com

Domain ...

...gone.

I once had many

sites on Geocities.

 (partially archived)

The pagebuilder

app on yahoo

Geocities

was really neat.

 ...Gone.

I once had sites

on FreeWebs...

gone.

I had pages

on other sites too ...

Including Google Sites.

My Google Site was

so full, I couldn't load

another jpg...

So I started to use

Blogger to upload

Images, and write

the links into my

Google Site.

That worked for

several months...

but ...

Blogger was

IPv4,

and Google Sites

was IPv6.

When the internet

went to

ipv6,

due to

"port security"

and larger

URL address space...

The old ipv4

http:// webspace sites

simply disappeared.

In my case,

someone locked up

my site...

I didn't have the

phone that I used

to start Google Sites...

(either failed or stolen)

So I couldn't rejuvenate

my site ...

I tried contacting

Google with the problem,

but nothing was ever

done, and the site

eventually vanished.

I've also had phones

and many USB drives

stolen over the

years of my

"UnHoused-ness"...

So :

I know what

happens.

The internet

is shifting sand.

The cryptocurrency

buffs should take note.

Thieves no longer

have to rob banks...

They can steal

your devices

from your low

security homes !
