As a result of the second day of the second round of the "2024 PBA Q-School" held at KINTEX PBA Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do on the 21st, a total of nine players, including Kim Ki-hyuk, Park Jung-min (A), Jeong Jae-kwon, Baek Chan-hyun, Kang Sang-gu, Kim Tae-kwan, Choi Jae-dong, and Jeong Hae-myung Lee Dong-jung, confirmed their joining in the first part of the next season.

Kim Ki-hyuk, who ranked first overall on the second day, won the first game by default, and then scored 40 points in 13 innings against Nam Sang-min (Challenge) in the second game with an average of 3.077.

In the last game, he won 40:23 (23 innings) by driving 15 high-run runs against "Young Gun" Jang Hyun-joon (24) by banking on his seasoned game management, confirming his advance to the first division. In particular, Kim Ki-hyuk was the only one who proudly listed himself as a former Dream Tour player among the nine who won the first division ticket.

Kim made his debut in the Dream Tour in the first year of pro basketball in the 2019-20 season, and won the title twice, moving straight to the top flight. In the 2021-2022 season, he played a pivotal role in the team league and assumed the captaincy. However, he was relegated to the Dream Tour after failing to produce any results in the individual tour.

He changed his sword in the Dream Tour for the next two seasons. Last season, he challenged Q School as the 32nd-ranked team in the final round of the Dream Tour, but failed in the first round, but this time he was different. After confirming his advance to the second round on the second day of the first round, he also confirmed his advance to the first division in two days and returned to the first division tour in two full seasons.

In addition, Kim Tae-kwan, who was ranked No. 1 in the Challenge League, also confirmed his stay in the top flight after beating Park Kyung-geun, Lee Seung-jin and Lee Hae-dong. On the other hand, Lee Chung-bok and Oh Sung-wook, who had high expectations, were defeated by Lee Young-joo and Shin Dong-min (A) in their first game, respectively.

The final day of the second round will be held on Saturday. Excluding the players who confirmed their advance to the first division on the first and second days, 58 players will compete for the remaining eight tickets for the first division.
