Difference between the false gods of the kuffar and the righteous:

Let us look at the differences between the two:

1. Úzzah was believed to be a daughter of Allāh. Dātā Álī Hajwayrī is believed to be a creation of Allāh.

2. Úzzah was believed to be a goddess. Dātā Álī Hajwayrī is believed to be a human and a servant of Allāh.

3. Úzzah was the object of their íbādah. Dātā Álī Hajwayrī is not the object of our íbādah, only Allāh is.

4. Úzzah was a name invented by people and Allāh had not sent down any authority for this. Dātā Álī Hajwayrī is an accepted Walī by the majority of the Ummah, both laymen and scholars.

Therefore, this is a clear fallacy that there is no difference in terms of belief and action regarding Úzzah and Dātā Álī Hajwayrī.

However, it is expected for the Khawārij to behave in this manner and to then go on and apply the verses revealed regarding Mushrikīn upon Muslims.

1. They called upon Úzzah with intent of worship, as Allāh is to be called upon. We do not call any with intent of worship except to Allāh. This is a huge difference.

2. It is irrelevant that they did not consider Úzzah to be the creator, as they considered her a goddess, a deity, something deserving of worship and also believed her to be a daughter of Allāh, a part of Allāh.

Whereas we consider Awliyā'a to be creations of Allāh and His servants, the only reason they reached their status is through servitude and submission to Allāh. We do not consider any to deserve worship besides Allāh or for anyone to be an offspring or part of Allāh.
