U.S. space transport Columbia separated on February 1, 2003, which killed every one of the seven space explorers onboard only minutes before it was to land at the Kennedy Space Center. It was Columbia's 28th mission, STS-107, on January 16, 2003. STS-107 was a flight committed to different analyses that necessary a microgravity climate. The team involved authority Rick Husband, Kalpana Chawla, payload expert Ilan Ramon, the principal Israeli space explorer among others. 

Point 

• This 16-day mission was committed to exploring physical, life, and space sciences, led in roughly 80 separate analyses, contained many examples and test focuses. The seven space travelers worked 24 hours every day, in two exchanging shifts. 

• The payload comprises of the First trip of SPACEHAB Research Double Module; Fast Reaction Experiments Enabling Science, Technology, Applications and Research (FREESTAR); first Extended Duration Orbiter (EDO) mission since STS-90.
