I am Polish and I live in Poland, my mother sent me to such a behavioural therapy centre every year, the lady who ran it was probably the so-called Polish national consultant in the field of ADHD and Autism, for my mother the most important thing was that this summer-winter camp was completely free because it was financed for free from the central budget of Poland for health care, by the so-called NFZ (National Health Fund) and this centre was a reference centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences for medical doctors specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry (pediatric psychiatry) and for students of psychology, this lady the doctor who led it was a member of some international medical bodies such as the entire WHO, including American psychological organizations, she was invited to America for lectures, probably American was a shame, after all, we Poles are dumb, and we even had a Polish Pope

Children with Down's syndrome were also sent to this centre, such as those who had attempted suicide, Turret syndrome, epilepsy or smoked marijuana, etc.

I met a friend there who was diagnosed with ADHD, I also had a suspicion of ADHD, I also had epilepsy, after an injury, this doctor qualified me as mild rolandic epilepsy of idiopathic origin, I asked her if I was an idiot? ;-)
But they laughed that of course that medical jargon meant that she didn't know, couldn't establish its parentage.

My epilepsy disappeared by itself, I have not had any seizures since I was 12 in 1998, and since 1999 my neurologist stopped taking anti-epileptic drugs, the drug was called depakine chrono.

At this camp, I met another boy who was from the agricultural part of Poland, his parents were farmers, and his mother was a doctor but a veterinarian :-)
He was very small, he was 160 cm and he was tormented because of it, but he was also over 140 IQ, he was a member of Mensa Poland xD

But he ended up in our Polish family court of the criminal section for severely beating the bullies who tormented him, he had prescribed drugs for ADHD, the drug Concerta (Methylphenidate), known in America as Ritalin, in Poland rarely prescribed by doctors because it is based on amphetamines, and Polish doctors generally prefer psychotherapy instead of pharmacotherapy, the motherfuckers did not want to assign this drug to me :-(
Because I only have Asperger :-(

And this friend did not want to take this drug, he did not take it, his mother forced him to take this drug with her, he supposedly took it, but then he forced himself to vomit this drug, unfortunately, he also lost micronutrients, and he passed out once, and an ambulance was called to him, he changed his treatment method to psychotherapy, the psychologist recommended that his parents buy him a skateboard or enrol him in martial arts, but his parents were poor because they were Polish farmers, and he had already had a criminal case for beating, the judge who conducted his case could not remain serious not to smile so that a boy of such a delicate beauty would beat someone up, dismissed the case because it was recognized that he was acting in legal self-defence, but ordered that he be included in a psychotherapeutic program because there is a possibility demoralization.

His teacher from his town and the school psychologist recommended that he be enrolled in martial arts, his mother couldn't afford it, and he had problems controlling the violence anyway, but his teachers said that it would cost nothing to enroll him in the Polish Scouting Association. , he could burn excess energy, and martial arts is also the Chinese philosophy of Zen and Tao, that is, controlling yourself through meditation.

But we had a common topic for conversations because he and I liked aviation very much, this one wanted to become a pilot once, although he was told that I had little chance because he had ADHD and suspected Asperger Syndrome, he then recommended an air simulator to me then it was called Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 😊

We had a joint favourite film Apollo 13, and an American film with a Polish title (First Step in the Cosmos/Space ) THE RIGHT STUFF about the American program Mercury and HBO tv series  "From the Earth to The Moon", he only regretted that there are so few series and movies about the Soviet / Russian space program. That his idol is the Russian pioneer of cosmonautics, Alexei Leonov, who made his first spacewalk, he was a pretty good Badass, that his second favorite is the American astronaut Charles Peter "Pete" Conrad and was moto biker too, that he is almost sure that this guy had ADHD because he was very explosive, but Neil Armstrong was very cool that maybe he had Asperger, that he was a nerd, he wasn't ashamed of being intelligent.

We, Poles, also had one Miroslaw Hermaszewski, a cosmonaut, who flew into space as part of the Soyuz 30 mission in 1978 to the Salut 6 space station.

My friend said that he learned the Russian language himself because he wanted to read Russian declassified historical sources about their space flights, our generation, born just before or right after the fall of communism, had a disgust for everything that is Russian, and they have their strange Cyrillic alphabet :-), but mine a colleague said then that if I wanted to recommend to the MiR stations or the newly built Alpha Space Station (ISS), you need to know perfect English, American and Russian

That friend of mine said that he was going to get a pilot's license one day, I said that I doubt that the medical examiner from our Polish civil aviation office would issue him a positive health certificate since he has ADHD and Asperger 😉
He told me that the doctor knows as much as he tells him 😊

Then I once wrote an e-mail that he had no problem obtaining a class 1 aviation health certificate of the Polish Civil Aviation Authority, he did not tell the doctor that he had ASD and ADHD xD
