Pay a general visit or call your doctor for better guidance. However, after surgical abortion, these are some of the general suggestions apply for two weeks after your procedure, or a few days after bleeding has stopped, which you can implement or make into consideration: 

 

  • Shower instead of taking a bath.
  • Avoid sexual intercourse.
  • Use sanitary pads instead of tampons.
  • Avoid going swimming.

 

If you have some unusual complications after the surgical abortion such as;

  • The bleeding becomes heavy
  • Developing a fever
  • Experiencing severe cramping or abdominal pain.

 

Then, it is highly advisable to call your doctor as these symptoms may indicate infection.
