The treatment is carried out in the operating room under a general anesthetic. Your surgeon will make a small incision in your abdomen below the abdomen to implant the laparoscope. The abdomen is filled with a gas, generally, carbon dioxide, which allows the pelvic organs to be seen clearly. If any anomalies that need treatment are discovered, more incisions will be made to implant surgical equipment. The incisions are closed after the therapy is finished. Most gynecological treatments may be completed in thirty minutes.
You may need to have a bowel preparation procedure performed before surgery to empty your intestine. For this, you should fast for 24 hours before the procedure. Avoid smoking, and if you develop any symptoms of sickness before your procedure, please notify your doctor.
