We provide long term patient capital to catalyse growth in the Indian entrepreneurial eco-system.
We are sector agnostic but with a bias for consumer/consumption stories. We are looking for teams and ideas that have the potential to scale significantly. India is likely to remain an attractive growth market in the foreseeable future, so we would focus primarily on companies serving a large market opportunity in India. Simultaneously, we are interested in a team’s articulation of “its right to win”. We are keen to understand what is differentiated in the model and not quickly replicable and the team’s ability to execute the plan.
Our preference is to co-invest with well-regarded seed/venture/PE funds. We tend not to take the lead in an investment round.
Apart from investments directly into companies, we participate in the space through investing as a Limited Partner in VC / PE funds.
We will bring more than just a cheque to the table. We understand that entrepreneurs need the independence to run their companies. We will nevertheless be available on a pull-basis to add value when needed. This might be in the form of benefiting from the network that we have built doing business over several years. In addition, we can provide operating and management expertise, particularly in the areas of overall strategy, marketing & distribution, team building & organization structure, business enabling HR practices, corporate governance and scaling the business.

Sharrp Ventures is the Single Family Office of the Harsh Mariwala family. We are focused on equities in India, through investments in public market funds, private market funds and direct investments in unlisted enterprises. We are one of the top family offices in India. In the unlisted space, we are investors in early stage and growth stage companies. Our preference is for companies that have already demonstrated some level of business traction. We are sector agnostic investors, though with some bias for FMCG, consumer and consumption related ideas.
