Lotte Giants Appoint Park Jun-hyuk as New Manager

The Lotte Giants have appointed Park Joon-hyuk (43), former head of operations, as their new general manager.

"We believe that Park Jun-hyuk is the right person for the job because he has the organizational management expertise to create a development-based team and front office, as well as the ability to utilize domestic and international networks," Lotte said in a press release on Monday afternoon.

Park joined Lotte in 2007 from the Giants, where he worked in international and marketing roles and held key positions including head of operations and head of human resources. 안전토토사이트

Lotte noted that Park "has a strong international perspective, having worked with Chiba Lotte to promote the mutual development of both clubs and contributed to the scouting of foreign players."

"I've been with the Giants since I was a rookie, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with them again," Park said. "I will continue to study and develop the front office in the process of selecting good players to play in the first team, so that we can continue to be a strong team."

Lotte, which finished seventh in the regular season after signing a slew of free agents last winter, including catcher Yoo Kang-nam, shortstop Noh Jin-hyuk and pitcher Han Hyun-hee, terminated the contract of manager Sung Min-kyu after the season. Park Jun-hyuk will work with new manager Kim Tae-hyung to rebuild Lotte.
