The War Against Naturist Camps For Children
Naturist Camps and Naturist Children: America has been stunned lately by the awful claims about child abuse at Penn State University. British Naturism And The Young British Naturists including sexual molestation of children have rocked many of our most revered institutions, like the Boy Scouts, the Catholic Church and in our schools. It's clear that child abuse is a societal problem, not limited to any specific organization or institution. Even the naturist citizenry was victimized by those who exploit children for sexual purposes, although it is very uncommon.

Any individual or group planning naturist actions must be familiar with the current cultural climate, which will be becoming increasingly intolerant of any actions involving children who could be misconstrued as being inappropriate or dangerous. Evolvefest Yoga Festival and Naturist Hippies believe that folks of all ages should be able to participate in naked recreation, that rejecting shame when it comes to the human body is favorable to physical, mental and sexual health. The existence of children is a required element of the doctrine, and to remove them from naturist actions would significantly redefine the modern movement which started in Germany in 1903.
From what I read, kids are safer at naturist resorts than in scout camps, church groups or malls. Most nudist resorts are gated communities. Members and guests are screened for unlawful action. of the kouroswere its nakedness,its youth, and, consequently, its beauty. have many folks searching for them, adults and other kids. Since naturist children are generally comfortable with their bodies, they might not be hesitant to report any approaches to them with which they are uncomfortable. Hence, kids are quite safe from abuse in naturist venues.
Nudist Children
In January of 2010, acting on an anonymous criticism, The Florida State Department of Children and Families paid a visit to Sunsport Gardens. Mr. Schloss welcomed them in, showed them pictures of kids having fun at the youth camp, and the officials left satisfied that Sunsport offered a safe, caring environment.
Foley was running for Senator at the time and felt he wanted a family values issue to take attention far from rumors swirling about that he was homosexual, so he grabbed the opportunity to started a crusade against the youth camps, accusing them of "using nudity among minor children to make money."
The firestorm had begun.
In Florida, naturists took action, meeting directly with Congressman Foley, and gradually the issue faded away, surely due in part to the political strength of the naturist citizenry in Pasco County. Governor Jeb Bush's office released a statement saying The rights of parents to impart their values in their kids and raise their children as they see fit are holy."

There were also ultimately no political effects in Arizona, but in February of 2004 the Virginia House of Delegates voted 98-1 to require parental supervision at camps for young nudists, later approved by the Senate 40-0. The single vote was against the act because the bill did not go far enough. In 2005 a bill was introduced to alter the language in the naturist camp laws, which would have effectively prohibited kids from all naturist and naturist venues, but that legislation was tabled for future consideration.
