______________________________________

Mayor Poe,

It was great to meet you and your team at the Conference of Mayors.  Hopefully you had an opportunity to use your Honolulu City ID while in Hawaii.  As we showcased, Mayors from all over the country are now exploring how these IDs can be used to promote inclusion in their cities through use cases such as a social disbursements, disaster relief efforts and school/campus ids.

We are excited to schedule a deeper discussion to explore Mastercard City Key and the priorities for the City of Gainesville.

Is there someone from your team that I can work with to schedule a meeting to further discuss?

It would be an honor to work with you and your city.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Mark

Subject: Aloha! Following up on USCM

Mayor Poe,

Aloha! I hope you had a safe flight home and have arrived as inspired and energized as we are by what we heard at USCM in Honolulu. It was a true testament to the Aloha spirit of Mayor Caldwell and his team, and to the hard work of the USCM organization – not to mention a beautiful setting!

I wanted to send a quick note to thank you for engaging with the Mastercard + City Possible team, and launch of the Mastercard City Key platform that powered the Honolulu City ID experience during the conference. It seems to have sparked many ideas among city leaders for advancing inclusion and safety in cities.

We would love to continue our discussion regarding the Mastercard City Key platform focusing on your key priorities. We’re currently exploring ways to help advance inclusion, streamline city services and/or drive efficiencies, including:

  • Social disbursements
  • School / campus IDs
  • Natural disaster relief disbursements
  • Work-payroll programs
  • Mobility as a Service

We also welcome you to join City Possible, an international network of city leaders. Cities are joining City Possible to access a global community of peers, and participate in workshops and pilots addressing challenges raised by the community. I personally invite you to join the movement!

Mark will follow-up to schedule a deeper discussion to explore the priorities for the City of Gainesville, and how we can help you achieve those goals, including our various assets such as City Key and City Possible. We look forward to partnering with you to create a more inclusive city.

Regards,

Miguel
