Education is an important thing for a country because it is believed that today's children are tomorrow's citizens. So children in a country should have basic education and it is important to equip them with the future technology and skills that will help them succeed in the future. As part of this initiative, the government of India has introduced a new education policy on Wednesday, July 29. The new policy replaces the previous policy on education, 1986. This latest policy aims to transform India’s education system by 2030. Our existing education policy focused on ‘what to think’, but in the New Education Policy, the focus is on ‘how to think’.

That is, according to the New Education Policy students will be taught coding as a separate subject from as early as class 6th. But why coding? Have you ever wondered why Coding is added from grade 6 in the NEP 2020? Is the new education policy helpful for students for their future? Definitely, yes. This initiative will open many doors of opportunity not only for students but also for the country. It will surely help in giving a better shape to India's future. This new policy allows every child to pursue their interest and excel in the field they desire.

The world of today is digital and it is moving at an unimaginably fast pace. In such a world where technology is everywhere, learning to code will be an important and beneficial thing for every person, not only for students. Coding is the most important skill of the 21st century and every child must know how to code to build a bright future. By learning coding kids can create games, websites, animations, and other applications by themselves. Coding also helps children to develop an analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, creative and critical thinking. Hence teaching coding to students at an early age can have a lot of benefits. So, It is the perfect decision to add coding as a subject in the new education curriculum to make them future-ready. This will also build interest in the young mind and will help them with a better future.
