Shadowking/Moira explains to the now corrupted wolverine that after moira was killed in krakoa he immediately merged with her dissipating conscience. Now they are one single mind and he plans to use moira’s powers and her last reincarnation to rewrite the story in his own terms. All he needs is to definitely kill her comatose body so he can piggyback in her reincarnation to take over the world in a time xavier and the x-men could not spoil his actions. considering xavier is safe guarding moira body and cowardly keeping her alive to avoid the current reality to be rewritten, he had to set a plan to infiltrate the mansion and kill moira from within, and wolverine will be the one to do it. With no telepaths around no one will be able to see Logan’s true intentions as he returns to the mansion.

 

In the next room, shadowking’s brotherhood is planning the raid of the x-mansion. Mystique asks why not simply blowing down the place. Forge replies he designed the med lab and most of the mansion’s underground complex. The place is one of the world’s safest bunker and it’s impossible to bring it down. The only way to kill moira’s body is accessing its chamber from within the mansion. Mystique asks how they are going to bypass the security system and forge arrogantly asks if raven was even listening to him. he repeats he has designed it himself. The security cryptography won’t be a problem to him.

 

Logan and moira enter the room and mystique asks if they are ready. Logan says he was born ready but moira says there still some pieces to be taken out of the game: psylocke and kwannon. Moira asks forge to roll the next stage of their plan.

 

Tony and his intelligence team are working to track the missing ordnance when all of the 4 stolen missiles go live on their systems. They are being prepared for launch from different states in the west: montana, california, nevada, and arizona. he immediately calls psylocke and the x-men to pass on the details.

 

Cyclops commands the teams to split. The gold team is going to california, the blue team to arizona, he calls magik and polaris to teleport x-factor to the site in nevada. Ironman himself will gather an avengers team to go to montana.

 

Kitty is taking all students and staff to mansion’s underground and say that someone must guard the mansion and the med bay. Wolverine arrives in time and and volunteers. The two groups assemble and prepares for their missions.

 

Dazzler and longshot are watching over the students and staff in the bunker, Logan stays outside to patrol the undergrounds and the medbay.

 

As the teams leaves, logan goes to the control room and shuts down all defenses of the mansion. He mentally contacts moira and tell her to send forge and the others.

 

***Flashback

Wolverine mourning the many fallen mutants of krakoa. Charles coming into his comfort telling him to trust that this time he can expect a new and better beginning. Wolverine tells charles he is tired of false expectations and that charles should learn when to stop and admits that once again he has been defeated.

 

***End of flashback

 

In the jet, trough a comm link, scott asks tony if he knows where the missiles are being targeted. He tells his team is working to hack the info but they still have no data. Cyclops asks the team to buckle up as he reaches match 5.

 

In nevada, the xfactor is ready to break in the  base where one of the stark missiles was located. They easily get trough a few human goons but they are soon ambushed by banshee, amanda sefton, rahne and strong guy. Syrin gets face to face with her father. She tries to reason with him but when he attacks her, she hesitates to strike back and gets knocked down. Rictor also tries to reason with rahne but she brutally attacks him in the chest. Cece fights against a demoniac amanda sefton and Multiple man takes on strong guy who violently dismember many of his dupes.

 

Lorna goes berserker mode and chain all four corrupted mutants in metal debris. Behind her, the missile begins its launch and she curses a few bad words.

 

Tony tells cylops the missiles are being launched and updates him on the routes. The missile being set to launch from California is heading to the new tian mutant camp. Cyke asks everyone to hold tight as he course correct the jet for collision route. Gambit asks him if he is speaking serious and friendly reminds him this is the second jet he would blow in less than 24 hours.

 

Tony is flying in open sky with war machine and capitain marvel and some US army jets. He sees the missile in the far horizon and the 3 of them prepares to intercept it. But the missile is flying at a low height and detonation would impact the city below. He aborts the interception and learn from his stark team that the missile is heading to new genosha in the pacific ocean. He tells carol and war machine to follow the missile and detonates it as soon as it reaches open sea and heads to nevada to assist x-factor.

 

Logan is in the med bay starring at jean. He senses the arrival of forge, mystique and sabretooth. Forge prepares to hack into the moira’s chamber system while mystique jokes about even when corrupted by the world’s darkest soul logan still have a soft spot for jean grey. Sabretooth reminds them to stay quiet because despite the apparent emptiness of the place he can still feel the stench of dozens of mutants there in the undergrounds.

 

Forge deactivates the security protocol of moira’s chamber and grants wolverine access to the room.

 

As he steps in the medical chamber, the three of them gets taken down by massive pink energy blasts. It’s psylocke. She stayed behind and engages for a fight saying that this time she wasn’t tricked into another decoy.
