Procedure of Alcohol & Drug Tests
About 200 hair strands about the thickness of a pencil are collected for Hair Testing. Generally, head hairs are preferred. However, in cases where there is not enough hair or no hair on the head or due to religious or cosmetic reasons, hair from other body parts can also be used.
For a nail test, the nails should be clipped close to the nail bed. For nails longer than 5mm, a single clipping is sufficient. If it is shorter, 10 mg (approx) of nail clippings is required for a conclusive result.
