Like I was saying about 'flipping shows', there R usually some good advices here & there, but they go overboard in ways that narrow the market & lower the price, just 2 'create' a $ervice.  People don't feel GR8 about paying a '$taging De$igner' who just sez "Do all the walls white, with natural wood floors & trim if U can" =))  A 'book' about design I suppose could have those words on the 1'st page followed by a bunch of photos? What else is there 2 say? =D  OK that's an exaggeration but U know what I mean.  My folks are currently flipping a relative's place in Colorado and sent me this note about '$taging' colors you may find interesting 4 'flip tips':

"Hard to believe this isn't subtle satire.  All these home shows keep pushing greys but people still want beiges and warm neutral tones (it's a house, not a crypt, dummy)!.  So the new homebuilders here are doing one floor in grey "wannabe" hardwood, then switching to browns or naturals in another room.  The walls are grey here, beige there.  Everything's a mish-mash, nothing flows.  I notice Home Depot has a few greys in their flooring and tile selections but the natural light & dark brown wood tones and neutral beiges still occupy most of the sales area.  Most people don't want the grey crap.  We've refinished the hardwood floors here (natural - wood color) and painted everything white (think "blank canvas") and everyone loves it when they walk in the door.  It really opens up the space and makes the light bounce off the walls and ceiling."

SURREAL! =:-o  It's that 'inversion propaganda' thing, like splatter on a canvas & calling it 'art'.  They go 2 various different concrete boxes & chat up the 'sensual color pallet' (everything is gray LOL) & 'church-like atmosphere' (more like a jail cell) = HILLARIOUS!  I wonder if they really intended it 2 B this ironic?  They really do seem 2 take their own B.S. seriously =))   Funny stuff!  Season 2, Episode 1 = next level 'design nihilism'.  "Woo I made a big box"... & they R talking about 'attention 2 detail'... or @ least that's what they call it when U leave the plywood imprint marks on the concrete & the little holes where they pull the mold together = zero finish.  Give me a break! =D  I'm waiting 4 them 2 do inflatable houses where they talk about the wondrous 'inspirational' properties of the plastic membrane walls & how the pressurization fan "reminds of tropical sea winds at a beach resort" LOL  Better yet they could tour favelas in Brazil & get poetic about the 'organic flow' of random additions built from scrap metal & other junk HAHAHA

C attached photos of the 'Ma$terpiece'  =))  This show is the joke that keeps on giving! =D  Quote: "It has, flamBOYance, with a preCISion & a crAFT & a cARe, that U never C MArried 2 this thEAtre, & this house mOOves me ~ e-NORmously" LOL!!  Such "Modern" De$ign$ are 'Architecture 4 The Soul' =))  Behold the 'Sensual Organic Refinement' in the 'inspired' de$ign (as they call it =))  Good 2 know could make a fortune renovating parking garages into 're$idential' $pace$! =D  Maybe that's next?  Is that what all this 'concrete box worship' is leading 2?  Hmmm....  They do this a lot in China. I C shows where they make apartments & stuff 4 people & it's just unfinished industrial tomb stuff like this.  With the right $ale$ $pew of 'obscurantism' can peddle it as '$tyle'???  Meanwhile some poser paid millions 4 essentially the same thing HAHAHA  Now THAT's funny!! =D
