Festivals play an important role in bringing families together, making friends and celebrating the very spirit of mankind. Festivals are a time to unite and spread happiness, to motivate us to be better people and to share our joy with the world.
We, at GEMS Public School, Patiala believe that the greatest joy comes from the joy of giving. To support this, we have been running a campaign, “SPREAD A SMILE” since last five years. Every year the students make a variety of decorative items that are sold before Diwali and the amount so collected is donated to the Old Age Home. This year too, the students participated in the event with full zeal and zest. The preparation for the event started few weeks prior to the day. Finally, the stall was put up at Urban Estate Phase 2 market on 21st October, 2022. This noble gesture was well supported by city people. The students learnt the value of giving and truly celebrated the joy of sharing. We were able to generate an amount of Rs. 60000/- appx. which was donated to Old Age Home in Chaura. All the staff members of GEMS Public School are thankful to the students and parents for supporting this noble cause.
