The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy will continue to fund National Bio Energy Programme for the next three years, until 2025-26. The first phase of the programme has been budgeted at a whopping Rs. 858 crores. This programme will largely benefit the companies that provide biogas to CNG plants and biogas upgrading plants.
