Repacking airbags is a highly dangerous and illegal practice. Most modern cars come with diagnostic systems that tell you when it is time to replace the airbags. In addition, the warning light on the airbag itself will alert you that it is time for a Buy Quality Used Airbags. It is also illegal to repack an airbag because it can result in life-threatening consequences. The most common sign that the airbags have been repacked is bulging or broken.

You've probably noticed that the Used Airbags warning light is on your dashboard, but the airbag has yet to deploy. The problem may be the clock spring. The steering wheel button sends a signal to the Used Airbag inside the steering wheel, and the clock spring acts as a cable that stretches many times inside the clock spring unit. If the light is on a replacement of the clock spring is required to restore proper functioning of the airbag system.

To perform the service, the vehicle must be in the neutral position and the ignition switch should be off. Next, the steering column cover LWR should be removed. Remove the three screws and turn the steering column cover counterclockwise 2.5 turns to release the spiral cable embassy. Once removed, connect the cable to the connectors. Before removing the steering column cover, turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the battery negative terminal. Then, disconnect the SRS Airbags wiring from the battery terminals.

Using a torque wrench, turn the spiral cable counterclockwise until it is hard to turn. Afterward, turn the cable-clockwise two or three turns to align the marks. Install the steering wheel back into the car. The steering wheel may need to be removed to access the airbag services panel. Once the steering wheel is installed, rotate the cable counterclockwise one or two more times. If the part appears damaged, the next step is to remove the steering wheel.
