Gyeongnam One Club Man

Woo Joo-sung was full of love for Gyeongnam FC.

Gyeongnam tied Gimcheon Sangmu 1-1 in the 38th round of the "Hana One Q K League 2 2023" at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, the 11th at Changwon Football Center. Gyeongnam, which added one more point, rose to fourth place, beating Bucheon FC.

Woo Joo-sung, who played as a starter in this game and achieved 200 games in Gyeongnam, said, "It is meaningful that it is the first record achieved in Gyeongnam. I didn't expect to play so many games in the first year. I'm really grateful because it's a team that can make me known as a soccer player," he said, expressing his gratitude to the club.

Woo Ju-sung's parents and girlfriend also joined him in the celebration. "(My family) congratulated me. My parents come to watch the game every time because my house is in Busan. I want to play many games and show good performance in front of my parents and girlfriend," he said, strengthening his will.

When Woo Joo-sung achieved a 100-game trip to Gyeongnam, he also held an event for his fans. Again, he showed his determination to work hard for his fans. "If I go to the promotion playoffs, I am thinking of an event for fans such as an away bus when I play with third place," he said.

Upon returning to his career, Woo Joo-sung said, "I am grateful to the staff for giving me the position of captain. I was able to grow because the directors who have been with me so far gave me an opportunity. I'm grateful to the directors and the front office. The fans who have been here since the first year also remember it. There are fans when they were promoted in 2017, and some fans who saw them being demoted in 19. I'm most grateful to the fans," he replied humbly.

Except for his time in Sangju Sangmu (currently Gimcheon) for military service, Woo Joo-sung continued to play in Gyeongnam. Fans also made placards to commemorate the 200 games of the Cosmic City. "I think I played one season each, but nine years have passed. I thought a lot of time had passed in Gyeongnam," he said, imbued with appreciation. "I want to play 300 games in Gyeongnam. I want to finish in K League 1 before I retire.

When asked about the most memorable game, he thought for a moment and said, "I won 1-0 with Seongnam FC in my debut game in the 2014 season. That's when I was most nervous. It was a game where I could feel the wall. "Looking at the photo commemorating 200 games, I remembered from 2014 when I debuted to now," he explained. 스포츠토토
