Getsunova - ปลาบนฟ้า (Fish in the sky)

 

 

I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky.

 

 

เจ้าปลาช่างฝัน – Once upon a time, there was a fish full of dreams.

 

หลงรักดวงดาวบนท้องฟ้า - He was in love with a star in the sky.

 

มันว่ายจากลำธารเล็กๆ - He swam from the small watercourse

 

สู่มหาสมุทรอันกว้างใหญ่ - to the big, wide ocean in order to reach her.

 

 

ความรักทำให้เราไปไกลกว่าที่เคย

Love makes us go farther than ever

 

 

เจ้าปลาเพ้อฝัน จะออกไปแตะขอบฟ้า - The fish thought he'd touch the horizon,

 

แต่ทำไมว่ายมาเนิ่นนานไม่ถึงสักที - but why would he never arrive?

 

แต่ทำไมเส้นทางเหมือนยาวออกไป – Why did the road seem so long?

 

 

ความรักทำให้เราไม่ฟังใคร

Love makes us listen to no one

 

 

ระหว่างการเดินทาง - While on his journey,

 

ปลาน้อยใหญ่ก็เตือนว่า - a big fish warned him:

 

เป็นไปไม่ได้ - “It's impossible!”

 

เจ้าปลายังคงว่าย - But our fish kept swimming.

 

ไปตามหาดวงดาว - He kept looking for the star.

 

 

The fish met the big Moon

 

 

มันเป็นไปไม่ได้หรอก - It's impossible.

 

ปลาจะไปอยู่บนฟ้าได้ไง - How can a fish get to the sky?

 

คนที่ใช่เรา - Beings like us

 

ไม่ต้องพยายามหรอก - shouldn't even try.

 

ข้าเคยเว้าแหว่ง - “I said I intended to

 

ออกตามหาส่วนที่หายไป - look for my missing piece.”

 

บ้างก็ทิ่มแทง - Some teased him

 

ให้เจ็บปวด - to hurt him.

 

บ้างก็มีกำแพง - Some have walls

 

เข้าไม่ถึง - that are unreachable.

 

พอเจอ - When he met

 

สิ่งที่คู่ควรก็กลายเป็น - the right thing, he became

 

วงกลมที่สมบูรณ์ - a perfect circle.

 

สักวันเจ้านะเจอเอง - One day they'll meet

 

แต่ไม่ใช่บนฟ้า But not in the sky.

 

 

Match, no match

 

 

เจ้ามีแสง – “You have light,

 

เจ้าคือดาวรึป่าว - are you a star?”

 

ข้าคึอไม้ขีดไฟ - “I'm a match.

 

หลงรักดอกทานตะวัน – I’m in love with a sunflower.

 

แต่ดอกทานตะวันกลับ - But the sunflower turned me down.

 

รักดวงอาทิตย์ - It was in love with the Sun.

 

ข้าคิดว่าถ้าเรามีแสงเขาจะชอบเราบ้าง - I think that if I had rays, the sunflower would love me.”

 

แต่ต้องแลกกับอะไรก็ตาม - But I have to change, no matter what.

 

 

ความรักอาจทำให้เรามองข้ามคนใกล้ตัว

Love might make us ignore the people who are close to us

 

 

ดาวบนฟ้านั้นสูงเกินไป - The star in the sky was too high away.

 

ทำไมไม่ลองมอง - “Why don't you try looking

 

ใกล้ๆตัวบ้างล่ะ - closer to you?”

 

เจ้าไม่มีแสง – “You have no light.”

 

เมื่อไปอยู่ใกล้ดวงดาวก็ได้นะ - “When you get near a star,

 

อาจไม่สวยงามอย่างที่คิดก็ได้นะ – it may not be as beautiful as you think.”

 

เจ้าไม่เข้าใจหรอก – “You don't understand.

 

ปลาดวงที่ไม่ใช่ดาว - A starfish is not a star.”

 

เจ้าปลาไม่สนใจ - The fish didn't care

 

ยังมุ่งหน้าไปที่เส้นขอบฟ้า – and, sulking, he went to reach the horizon.

 

เจ้าปลาพยายามอย่างหนัก - The fish tried very hard

 

ที่จะโผล่ขึ้นไปพ้นน้ำ – to rise up out of the water.

 

กระโดดขึ้นผิวน้ำ - Jumping on the surface,

 

ครั้งแล้วครั้งเล่า – Again and again.

 

เรื่องราวของเจ้าปลา – The story of the fish

 

ที่จะว่ายไปบนฟ้าโด่งดังไปทั่วมหาสมุทร - that went swimming to reach the sky was famous all over the ocean.

 

เจอวาฬใจดี - He met a kind whale

 

ช่วยส่งข้าขึ้นบนฟ้าที - who helped him reach the sky,

 

แต่ก็สูงไม่พอ - but it wasn't high enough.

 

ปลาหมึกช่วยดีดส่ง - A squid was able to send him

 

ขึ้นไปบนฟ้า - to the sky.

 

ข้ามีปีก - “I have wings.

 

อาจจะพาเจ้า บินไปบนฟ้าได้นะ – I might take you to the sky.

 

เข้ามาไนปากข้าสิ - Let me take you into my beak.”

 

แท้จริงแล้ว - Actually

 

นกหวังขะกินเจ้าปลา - the bird only wanted to eat the fish,

 

แต่เจ้าปลาไหวตัวทัน - but the fish freed himself in time.

 

 

ความรักอาจทำให้เราเกือบตาย

Love can almost kill us.

 

 

เจ้าปลาตกลงบนพื้ดิน - The fish fell on the ground.

 

สิ้นหวังไม่อาจฝืนต่อไป - He was hopeless, unable to continue to resist.

 

แต่แล้วฝนก็ตกลงมา - But then the rain came.

 

เจ้า ปลา ไต่ สายฝน - The fish climbed up the rain

 

ขึ้นไปบนฟ้า towards the sky.

 

เจ้าปลาเพ้อฝันว่ายขึ้นไปบนฟ้า - The fish full of dreams swam until he reached the sky.

 

เมื่อมองกลับมาเห็นเงาผืนน้ำ - When he looked back, he saw the reflection on the water

 

ก็พบความจริงที่ว่า - and realized that

 

ว่ายอยู่บนฟ้ามาตลอด - he was swimming in the sky.

 

และแล้าเจ้าปลาก็ได้อยู่ใกล้ดาวสมใจ - And then the fish could be near his star the way he wanted.

 

มันมีความสุขมาก - He had never been this happy,

 

แม้ว่าแสงดาว - although the starlight

 

จะเผาไหม้ร่างของมันทีละนิด - burned his body little by little,

 

จนเหลือเพียงก้าง - till nothing remained but his fishbones

 

ค้างอยู่บนฟ้า - left in the sky.

 

ทิ้งไว้เป็นกลุ่มดาวปลา - leaving the constellation of Fish

 

ที่เราเห็นได้ในทุกค่ำคืน - that we can see every night.
