Shiv Yoga Kendras: BMC Reaches Out To Resident Groups, Office-Bearers Of Housing Societies
According to the latest reports, in its attempt to set up "Shiv Yoga Kendras" throughout the 24 administrative wards in Mumbai, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has commenced reaching out to office-bearers of housing societies and resident groups.
Based on accounts, in addition to this, it has called for an Expression of Interest from yoga centres which have been registered for two years with the Indian Yoga Institute or the Yoga Certification Board in accordance with the rules and suggestions of AYUSH.
It has been reported that the yoga teachers and instructors that can be recruited should have an experience of three years. Moreover, as per Union government norms, they need to be trained in Common Yoga Protocol.
Narratives suggest that the civic body is planning to commence the yoga centres that would offer training to people at no cost, from June 1 onwards.....
