How to CLEAN A LASER Brother PRINTER

Giving a Brother Laser Printer a basic cleaning from time to time is very much necessary to prolong its life. Cleaning your Brother Laser Printer should be part of your maintenance routine. Make sure to gather your tools and Brother Printer’s cleaning kit before attempting to clean your Brother Laser Printer.

Switch off your Laser Printer an hour before cleaning. The laser printer must cool down before you clean otherwise you will electrocute yourself. Use rubber footwear for your safety while cleaning.
Put on your mask and gloves and gather your kit to clean your brother laser printer and toner cartridges.
Open the laser printer carefully. Kindly refer to your Brother printer's owner's manual.
Remove the detachable components which include the toner cartridge, the toner bottle, and the drum unit. Do not lay hands on the surface of the drum unit. Place it in a dark area.
Take two Toner clothes from the kit .Wipe the toner cartridge(s) with the first toner cloth. Rest the toner cartridge on the second toner cloth and remove the excess toner
Keep the toner vacuum in the printer chassis. Use the toner vacuum to remove spilled toner in the internal component. Ensure that the toner vacuum does not touch any internal surfaces inside the printer.
Clean the deep spots with a bristle brush from your kit. Remove the excess toner found in crevices, and use the toner vacuum to remove dust or debris left behind.
Cleaning of the corona wire- Laser Brother Printers consist of a corona wire that distributes the toner. Read the Brother Printer’s Customer manual to identify it. Please note that cleaning the corona wire needs your utmost attention. Dip a cotton swab in Isopropyl alcohol and rub the wires gently with the cotton swab. Please ensure that you do not leave the underside of the wires. Change the cotton swab after each use. Do not apply pressure, as corona wires are very fragile, expensive and get easily contaminated if it comes in contact with dust particles.
Wash the paper feed roller next. To do it, dip a cotton swab in Isopropyl alcohol and rub the paper feeder in a circular motion with the cotton swab to remove toner build-up. Change the cotton swab after each use.
Precisely reinsert all components back in its place and close the printer. Do not misplace the components as it will devastate the Printer’s working mechanism. Kindly refer to your Brother printer's owner's manual for the instructions to reinsert the components.
Clean, wipe and disinfect the laser printer's exterior.Remove all the dust and debris build-up using a toner cloth and Isopropyl alcohol from your kit.
Turn the printer back on and resume your use as you have successfully cleaned your Brother laser Printer and the toner cartridges.
